This is a little long but I want to give my view on why even though NFTs were such a bust we're going to see more of this kind of shit.

We're in a time now when a broad range of people perceive that the American dream is kinda dead. These are people who are often educated, who are working hard, but not seeing their lives get any better. In some ways they keep getting worse.

On top of that, even the dream that you could invest in the next Apple or Amazon when it's still small and end up getting rich, while unlikely before, is even less of a thing now. The last time there was a major shakeup in the market was the dot-com boom. That's settled now into a few big winners controlling the tech space. Even the disruptive potential of the smartphone revolution has been largely realized.

We've got an environment that's not really fertile ground for new startups. And the ones that do still get a foothold are largely started by or getting funding from the billionaire class with more money than they know what to do with. There's hardly any room for someone who's not already among the ultra rich to get in on the ground floor of anything.

So people invent ways to try to force another market shakeup out of whatever technology they can go out and hype. And it doesn't matter how nonsensical the idea is that something like a ledger of "ownership" of digital stuff is going to revolutionize the world. They can sell it to people because when someone is the only one offering you a way out of your kinda shitty life and you can't see any other path it's tempting to put your common sense aside and believe them.

I would also add: The type of person to fall for NFTs specifically, is the kind of person a lot of the right wing messaging appeals too. A Joe Rogan listener that simultaneously believes that Capitalism still works and is essentially a true meritocracy, but has been corrupted by the woke libs to give undeserving people their fair share... and so rugged individuals like them... can bypass the perfect meritocracy that is also somehow unfair to them with these crypto and blockchain related investment scams.

Seasons 1-3.

I'd go with 3-6 or 7ish?
I think it was strongest the first few years back from their cancellation, but then started to plummet in quality fast.

The first two seasons are okay, but kind still finding itself.

Many of the Blue Rose Knights in the anime Black Clover, but Sol Marron in particular.

If I remember she even summons a massive earth golem as her signature spell.

Also Charlotte, Vangeange, and Mimosa have very earth related powers, but they lean more toward plants and healing, so Sol is the purest Earth mage of the show.

Many dwarves in fantasy settings have an affinity for stone, building with stone, the underground, minerals mines and ores, etc.

The issue I think is that we socialize and propagandize boys and girls from a young age culturally to accept that the man is the breadwinner/provider and the woman's career and money should be secondary. Entertainment, social media, and religion constantly reinforce this.

Now I disagree with this being a valuable paradigm, but that deeply ingrained idea is likely the reasoning behind that kind of thinking.

I love when new discoveries and lines of insight energize the public around thinking about science and space, even if they turn out to be incorrect or require further study to be conclusive

I hate when new discoveries like these come out and the pseudo science and conspiracy community come out and latch onto them immediately as definitive fact, and posture a misunderstanding of that the new data actually says in order to push their distinctively un-scientific agenda.

If he makes it pay only, it loses the greatest piece of intrinsic value it has which is thoughtless installation by the general public without anything to motivate them to adopt a better platform.

It's on Twitter... that's where they get the views because it's easy and free for anyone to access. It's one thing to charge content makers for verification and other privileges, but to make the general public pay?

Nintendo's well documented hardware issues are never forgotten or forgiven, no matter how small or rare in comparison to other manufacturers or in comparison to more expensive hardware.

What were the hardware issues with the Wii, Wii U, DS, and 3DS again? Not sales, or subjective design decisions (IE: stuff like not liking Wii U off-screen play), but problems with build quality or manufacturer defects?

I'm an old school gamer that understands how both hardware, and corporate decision making work to some basic degree... also yes, I'm waiting on those defrosters for the demon soul-feeding pits.

Just putting this out there... the reason the Switch is successful is because it's a decently made, affordable, portable hybrid.

I appreciate companies attempting to make ports for it, but it was never a powerhouse, you have to invest some time into developing the port alongside the higher end versions... but that means less money for the executives.

I agree. If the writers, directors, and producers can come up with good ideas to bring heroes together in crossovers, that's fine... great! If they want to bring in the same actor that plays that character, and keep a general consistent theme... no problem I guess.

But what killed the first incarnation of the DC universe was trying to use each movie to set up the next movie instead of being it's own movie.

I think Marvel hit lightning in a bottle and had the right people covering the right licenses at the right time and audiences were ready for something new with the Avengers... but it's never reached those heights since and no one else has been able to replicate the success.
