That list is missing several characters. Off the top of my head, Reddas and NORG were past failed projects of mine (was also going to mention Rude, but apparently he was in XXIII? I don't remember this). And there's a noticeable lack of raytan's infamously bad choices like Buddy, Teta and Kelga. Also your complaining about Noel made me remember he's actually been in this before.

I went back and checked, and Im sorry about the Torgal thing. I didnt think it was a big deal personally but that actually was a big spoiler its just revealed in such a milquetoast way by the game itself that the game doesnt treat it like a big deal, plus they just outright spoiled it with a free DLC costume. But still, that was dumb and Im sorry. Im pretty sensitive to spoilers so thats just on me for speaking so freely about a recent game.

Even without his twist though, hes bound for a deep run if the right people have played 16. I thoroughly recommend the game btw. Its really good.

Thanks for hosting! I missed a lot of rounds this year but it's always fun to participate. Next year should be interesting with Rebirth and possibly XVI DLC.

I am curious how much of an effect these games will have on it. SMFFFC feels like such a legacy contest at this point. And my understanding is not much of the player base has even gotten to XV or Remake yet, let alone XVI

but I could always be wrong!

Unless you want to make the finals Delita vs Ashe Locke is probably next in line

I'm realizing that I don't remember like literally any involvement of Fang in the game at all

every other character I can have scenes come to mind, but for Fang I just completely blank out. I have like a general idea of her, her stand-off personality, clinging protectiveness of Vanille... but that's kinda it

okay well the ending scene but that feels like a cheating and it's shared with Vanille anyways

also with Fang she doesnt show up until like Chapter 6 which is near the mid point of the game or so (maybe its 4 or 5)

Also Im alright with the Vanille in, shes one of the stronger female characters in the series (definitely top 5 at least) although it shows which way I skew when Locke is probably my fifth favorite character in the series and it was a no brainer

yeah maybe Tifas part of that gets retconned or explained better in the future remake projects

also I dunno Fang and Vanilles group seemed Australian influenced as a whole
