Also I know my trading and holding meant often not saving Locke directly, but I'm still surprised I only saved him directly 25 times.

i stopped by the store to pick up some stuff and i had a 100 but i wanted some change. but i felt weird just using a 100 to buy like $10 worth of sutff (i later realized there was no reason for me to feel this way but at that point i was just like fck it)

anyway i ended up with a $50 google play card that i have no use for

so yeah...if you saved Vanille this contest and want this, let me know. if more than one person wants it i can run a raffle or something

That list is missing several characters. Off the top of my head, Reddas and NORG were past failed projects of mine (was also going to mention Rude, but apparently he was in XXIII? I don't remember this). And there's a noticeable lack of raytan's infamously bad choices like Buddy, Teta and Kelga. Also your complaining about Noel made me remember he's actually been in this before.

I want to say this is characters who were in multiple times

This is the first time I've supported a loser in the finals since... Locke lost to Vivi. Started 1-4 before my six year streak on the winning side, now I'm 7-5

Squall, Cloud, Tidus, Lightning, Locke, Cloud, Fang, Lightning, Squall, Kefka, Ramza, Locke

Locke is now the only of those first 5 losers (including Kefka losing to Tidus) to fail the revenge run. I guess it's Laguna's turn to try and get a win now

which tbh, gameplay-wise, is not something I can recommend to everyone unless they're prepared for some jank - even if I personally do enjoy the gameplay for the most part, at least as to its sandbox elements that are were fun for me to play around with

tho some minigames wewww can be pretty shit

I: Tiamat (Bonus if you get the XVI Tiamat but uh this is whatever) or you can just complete the set and do Black Belt and Thief
II: who is left here? Scott?
III: Desch or Onion Knight or Ramuh or Titan
IV: Leviathan I guess unless you want to save Barbarricia
V: I dunno Syldra
VI: Gogo to complete the set or like Typhoon, but you gotta bring Ultros in too and save both. No stop doing the ten Narshe moogles nobody wants them
VII: Andrea The one motorbike dude, Johnny, theres a ton of good remake characters. Then you have Heidegger and Palmer and Bugenhagen
VIII: Angelo sure
IX: Marcus or Cinna I think
X: Rin, Nooj for fun and to terrorize board 8 with his evil hair, Keepa, all the blitzball players

XII: wars in charge here

Fujin actually returns to omnia Thursday night and apparently she's pretty broken for launch teams

which means I have to get her because Layle & Keiss are both launch-based characters (Keiss returns in... December, Layle is still a mystery)

Molulu had to make it in this year to replace Sabin. Now we have to get Mogwin in to replace Setzer (and hopefully keep him in in Setzer's place).

I was considering sending GMUN my sheets for the CXV-CXVIII finals... but I just discovered that my CXV sheet is missing 40-ish saves from the end oops

(I also didn't track the exact time rounds started but that's a little less important)

as someone that's started XIV characters a million times in Ul'dah, I always felt the lack of Thancred is weird (I have at least recently done 1 Gridanian & 1 Limsan character this year)

(although i've also still never passed Heavensward)

i saw the vanille saves list and i'm a bit sad i didn't make more of the early rounds but i legitimately just forgot completely this contest. wasn't really on my mind since i drilled it into my thoughts that i shouldn't get my hopes up after the last time i did. but yeh took a completely casual approach this time until like the last few rounds where i started to look out more for round times and trades.

never expected her to actually win and idk if i'll retain this feeling all the way through to the next contest enough for me to try to help out some runs but it's not out of the realm of possibility

tbh tho i can't imagine a situation where i prioritize someone over VAnille atm to the point where i let her go out if i could prevent it

I loved World of Final Fantasy! Reynn was my favorite but the-Tama would be fun to the-annoy people by how she the-speaks.

I have my problems with WoFF, but it's mostly on the dungeons & combat being ass

i'm assuming XX isn't fully logged on the site since it lists my finals saves first (why do i only have 8 fang saves)? or is there a page missing or something

I've only scanned the finals of XX like literally a few hours ago, but the numbers match up with lefty's finals stats posted in page 1 so yeah should be accurate

I wasn't keeping track while going through, but if it's anything like this year you've mixed up your save #s a couple times and saved early (your "XIII"th Vanille save was actually your tenth, your 6th or 7th was early, then you skipped the number 8 in your counting)

oh wait yeah that's it, I remember deleting 2 kateee saves in XX because they were early (one was like 20 minutes after another save)

So I wanted to have this ready before SMFFFC ended, but I guess this will do. Some people probably know what a Gauntlet is, it's sort of a relic from the past at this point. But I do actually keep one of these gauntlets up to date, and it's the video game character one. I played Brave Exvius, and I'm still surprised how many Brave Exvius characters there were.

Cactuar Conductor would make a fun gimmick character.

Good contest overall, I would have preferred Locke or Aeris but no complaints.

Next year will either be a dual focus on ensuring Barret survives boots at a minimum as usual and a redemption (Yang?) or new entrant (FF16 if I play it by then or 14 if I stick with it and someone calls to me) cause those are always fun.

oddly you called your 5th attempt at saving your 1st, your 6th attempt at saving your 3rd, your 7th attempt at saving your 5th

then jump ahead correctly to 8 for your 8th save attempt (unfortunately your 6th valid one), start saving Donkey Kong like 8 times, then come back for your 9th & 10th attempted Fang saves, calling them X & XI when they're actually your 7th & 8th valid ones

Yeah. I don't know what matches she (or Spinxhara) won, but I assume they were against other characters I didn't know very early, while my actual favorite Final Fantasy characters cleaned up all the real threats.

Part of the fun of doing these, though.
