| Liu_Kano 06/24/23 7:43:38 PM #1 | He's what I'd consider a 10/10 game protagonist. -Extremely well-written. After spending 7 games with him, you'll know him really well. Even after playing 1 of his games, you'll get the gist of him. He's a pretty fleshed out and 3-dimensional character. He has Ned Stark stoicism and honor, but does show his vulnerable side when appropriate. -He's a good and honest dude despite being a gangster. One of the best examples of a "criminal with a heart of gold". A much better criminal-good-guy than Vin Diesel's characters imo. He won't break his code. He'll gladly sacrifice his life and freedom for his loved ones. He's an extremely loyal friend, and although he is dead serious whenever he's working, he isn't above going to the karaoke bars and having a good time. Its remarkable how good of a person he can be while still being a high-ranking and feared gangster, and he achieves this balance by being absolutely true to himself. -Extremely smart, wise and mature. If someone is lying to him, he'll sniff it out very quickly. He's not one of those protagonists who runs around without a single clue. He could've been a good detective if he wasn't a gangster. -He is BAD ASS. Everyone who sees him either knows not to fuck with him, or they understand that he's going to be an extremely difficult opponent to defeat. He has earned the fearsome title "Dragon of Dojima". He's like the benevolent Darth Vader-level enforcer of his clan. His badassedness is up there with Solid Snake, Master Chief, Cloud Strife, Dante, Ryu Hayabusa, BJ Blazkowicz and Doomguy, except he doesn't have (and doesn't NEED) fantasy or sci-fi bullshit helping him win. If you're tired of whiny, immature, dumb, weak, boring, poorly-written or one-dimensional protagonists leading the show, pick up a Yakuza game today, and get acquainted with Kazuma, or the also-great new protagonist Ichiban. --- The dead can forgive.
