Sometimes, this is why its nice to go for mods where there is just not enough fandom to really mess with your perceptions of pressure. Some of the worst pressure for a mod I have seen is something like Terraria's Calamity mod. But even then, the worst of its fandom surrounds the music creator for it more than the players (they pressured him so much he renounced everything and its a wonder he didn't outright end himself, and this is a fandom crime as he is... or was, truly an incredible composer, until the fandom killed his soul).

The world's people are linked to the state of the world. As the physical world gets worse, it will bring out more of the worst in people.

The increasing prevalence of social media algorithms that feed on negative emotions for profit and AI being used in harmful ways is not helping either.

Her hair seems to be mostly the right color. I'm sure people will complain no matter who would play Samus in a Metroid movie. And will complain about the movie regardless of how it is produced and set up. Frankly to be any good in movie format, Samus will need to be working together with a team, perhaps including other hunters and federation forces, and the ship AI she has in Fusion and beyond. But this also would make it feel less "metroidy."

I probably wouldn't see the movie regardless of who is playing who though. I don't watch live action stuff in theatres, and watch relatively little live action stuff in general unless you count video game streamers like CarlSagen42 (a youtuber and twitch streamer who plays troll levels).

So yeah, zero downsides for me.

Honestly, if you could, even if it needed some extra new sidequests, get all the characters regardless of starting character, that would convince me to try it.

Its a remake, it doesn't need to play the replay value card the original had at the time. Even FFX-2 let you get 100% in one playthrough if you follow a guide to make sure you get everything on the path that technically let you do so.

Nature is much better at handling radioactive fallout than the ever increasing nonsense we put the plant through otherwise. See the Red Forest and how well nature does there, because the radiation is much less an issue than humans formerly being there before Chernobyl. Humans all leaving was far more beneficial than the radiation is harmful for wildlife. And this is a really BAD disaster we are talking about. Typical nukes leave less fallout than Chernobyl. Also reminder: Hiroshima and Nagasaki are already rebuilt and no longer having issues. Everyone is far more afraid of nuclear radiation than they should be when it comes to being scared of the future. The most scary thing about a nuclear explosion is if you are not close enough to die, but within the 10 or so mile (inner to outer band) ring outside that area where you would have wished you could die. So basically, in the suburbs of a major North American city.

Games like fallout are a HORRIBLE representation of a post-nuclear-war end of current civilization. Every Fallout game should be filled with greenery and random generalist species of various sizes everywhere when you come out of the vaults in most areas.

We grow chickens in hells worse than a freaking Warhammer 40k Hive City. And for what? Big box stores will throw out 25-40% of their rotisseries daily because they didn't sell.

Some like the ship being enveloped require you to have played it to understand first, and also the words accompanying this trailer are kinda... weird. Like, "we have the hopes of the entire universe riding on our shoulders"? No, that was not even a thing in the original SO2. It was an esoteric pair of planets, one which had some very weird stuff about it, aside from whatever final revelations from the final boss were coded into it by 4D, since you just know they will force references into the game about that despite those not being part of it originally.

PA thing worth noting too, regardless of which variant of the DC guys we use, is that... well, lets use DCAU as an example with Flash and Supes. Supes at one point "stops holding back" against Darkseid and starts hitting hard enough and moving fast enough that he could probably easily overcome the physical FF members. And flash at one point goes running around the world multiple times a second (at basically the cost of his existence) during that finale where he is fighting the combined darkseid-brainiac (though it ends up being Lex who seemingly finishes him off).

Point is though, that they never use anywhere near this power from the start. Its more of a "reveal" moment when its like "okay, you guys are strong, I need to actually stop pretending like everything in the world is made of paper and eggshells to me, and let loose." So if the Justice League, especially an lower power version of them, is fighting normally, those endgame feats may simply never happen due to Flash and Supes getting turned to stone or stopped in time (Flash may actually have resistance to that one) before realizing they need to go nuts.

Because people keep thinking of the (IMO more interesting because they are weaker) DCAU series from the 90s and 00s. The one all the "supes is weak to magic" stuff is especially strong in (he can also be knocked around by missiles even if they don't really hurt him, and darkseid technology like that sonic orb drone causes him to bleed out the ears, etc, he is not indestructible in the animated universe).

Yet, many of the people who keep arguing that are so blinded by the fact they never use status spells when playing the games that they don't seem to imagine just how OP those are against the DCAU versions of the Justice League and most of its extended roster in JLU.

Since the topic of Hamas is involved though, they won't stop regardless because every shot shield gives them propaganda too. But not shooting them through the shield just lets them do what they want too, and if the shield is a captured hostage or something they are going to die anyway.

So basically, the answer is that if you are a shield you are screwed.

That's a punch with the mass of the sun behind it. Sephiroth's Supernova is peanuts compared to that.

If you are bringing actual physics into that, then the punch, as described, should have basically destroyed a decent chunk of the planet if it is putting out that much energy. Which suggests that physics are not actually in play like that, or that The Flash is talking crap. And knowing DC, they probably drew the "to another continent" part of the receiver in non-ballistic manner. Which unless he instantly switched to "pass through matter mode" would have basically resulted in a thermonuclear shockwave for part of that journey from him going so fast that the air he is hitting is being compressed into fusion reactions.

Suffice to say physics are even weaker subjects for DC comics than they are for the series full of magic and guys who "merely" swing around swords heavier than they are.

Some parties are able to defeat strike-anywhere-on-the-planet gods (i.e. taking down Kefka, etc). So the FF side has at least some heavy hitters in terms of how strong they would be if not limited to the combat system.

Aside from that, the main thing they have are, ironically, all those spells that players rarely use because enemies and especially bosses are usually resistant if not straight up immune to them in the FF universe. I mean things like stop, petrify, heat, sleep, instant death, etc. Spells that in many cases just automatically hit, and then rely on resistances to determine if they have an effect.

Well, that and the fact that they can revive each other and there will also be phoenix summons and autolifes going off constantly.

In short, the way for the army of FF party members to stand a chance is to abuse the power of cheese.

Samus can fight something that makes the flood look tame, and is capable of extracting energy and ammunition from basically anything that can move under its own power (including zombie-like enemies).

Probably pretty capable against basic zombies.

BLIZZARD stuff will get better.

If Microsoft lets any of their bigwigs or too many of their personel into their stuff though, well, Microsoft stuff may suffer.

Self-checkout lines in theory are a nice alternative, but are very easy to use to steal some of the things you get.

Which requires you to basically send employees over to just stand there and watch a bunch of lines at once, some of which may be broken or held up by someone having an issue with the line, or just with a faulty machine. (edit: and every time they have to be constantly helping people with their stuff just opens the theft possibility again as they are no longer watching).

Which means fewer people on checkout lines with someone scanning it for you.

Which when combined with how few people actually want to do either job at the pay being offered, leaves most stores understaffed.

Which ruins yet another store.
