The problem is Sultan followed Lopen onto Ulti at the beginning when Lopen was actually suggesting hammering as quickly as possible, but then accused Lopen of being opportunistic much later when Lopen had backed off that stance long before. Then he backtracked it minutes later as fishing for reactions.

Oh somehow I missed or forgot he followed Lopen earlier. Hm. But I thought what he talked about with fishing for reactions was that he said he a specific reason he wouldn't share for being on Lopen. Not that he was following Lopen for reactions?

Everytime I read a "it would be nice to hear more from x" is kinda rubs me the wrong way. Wallz does this a lot. It reads as if posting to try to seem like you're doing stuff while you're actually doing absolutely nothing. It's fluff. Then x posts something and it's "now I would like to hear more from y". Little consideration of what they post both before and after, so then why would you ask for it if not for making posts for the sake of making posts? I know I hosted and probably should know, but did Wallz do this last game as scum?

Oh if he was in that game then hes scum here. The reason the first post I quoted makes no sense from him is because it doesnt track with Reds role or behavior in that game, and Sultan was his scum teammate.

Sorry for perhaps being slow, but I don't quite follow. Because Sultan seemingly didn't remember the game correctly where they were scum together, Sultan must be scum?

Hm, in the most recent game we both played here, Sultan was scum partially guided by Chris, and I was one of very few people if not like the only one that actually suspected him (because of my lack of history with Chris, Chris insisted). I'd actually lean town from some of the posts here, but I felt like his scum abilities were being underestimated heavily last time.

Posts like "I'm assuming mzero "day coping" me scum was a joke. Surprised no one asked Mzero more about this "scan"". Like, writing saying he assumes a scum scan on him was fake when if town he would know it is exactly the kind of post where I'd think that there's no way he says something like that if actually scum but he faked a decent bit of posts like that last time, maybe even went overboard, so it's apparently within his scum game to fake such thing and therefore I'll be a bit more careful working like that.

But I must admit I don't completely understand the train. I too thought Lopen looked too oppourtunistic about the red thing, one of my first reactions yesterday, so at that point I was fully with him. Some of his reactions to the votes doesn't sit as well as that, but I wasn't convinced catching up.

I'm caught up.

To whoeever asked if Sultan was in Dota 2 mafia, unlike what was answered a few posts later, the answer is yes, he was, he was scum and got lynched day 1.

Uhh, what? Like, I barely have a read. If this is because I said I agreed with his points the most from the like two pages that were there when I first posted, then that's definitely barely a tell. Often enough scum is more logical and town makes no sense, so it's hardly that important. This is a weird thing to ask.

People bring up JC's Doomed role in Xenoblade Mafia and how that ended up being true.

Who actually brought that up? Peaf said he would ask the same question he asked JC that game, has it been brought up otherwise at all?

Marth and Wallz did as well.

I don't think trying to think about if some video game console fits some mafia role well will ever be a good approach for game solving.

People commenting on inactives early on always read like forced content to me.

Well hope you weren't expecting a very thrilling conclusion. I think it looks odd that after red immediately calls the post bad, at least four people echo the sentiment without doing anything about it. Peaf even calls this 0 vote stuff a train, which is probably why I was surprised there are no votes. It looks as if either people don't want to get on Death for whatever reason or people just have no reads and want to echo something simple. So there's probably scum in that bunch of people.

I felt like a fair share of people had said Death looks back. I didn't think much about it because I feel like catchup posts are usually terrible to catch anyway and Death tends to write little in many words regardless of alignment. But now I just noticed no one actually voted him.

It's not too important if red lied about his role to some extend, the takeaway is that he probably gains something. Now obviously a scum role could get that as well yes, but I don't think red is a player that wants to gather that much attention to himself as scum lying.

I don't think he was in that one.

But yeah, regardless of hammer stuff in the past. It's not as much about if red is truthful about being something coming from him hammering, it's about what he puts at stake, in this case saying he will die if it fails.

Oh right I forgot the hammer role in Star Trek.

I think Dumey trying to work out what it says about other players if Lopen is scum before seemingly having gotten to Lopen being scum is weird.

I think Lopen looks too opportunistic. Believing red and suggesting power ups is what it is. Suggesting to rush it though is not a good look imo.

Well it's also weird making mention of rule 1 and ignoring rule 2 from a total of 4.

Well asking for flavor when someone claims is always fine. Talking about counter claiming flavor and such is weird though.

It was also with a host that had only hosted that one time, so probably not worth thinking much about.

I think it's the only time I've ever seen it and it was a role madness game, but I think it just basically ended lynches at -1 automatically.

Do people fake claim a lot here, and if so, what's the ratio of lying town to lying mafia?

I find when people early claim something anti-town they're usually truthful town. Lying town happens, but other than Ben, it's mostly just town trying to hide power but claiming vanilla or something. Lying mafia obviously happens often enough but I find mafia rarely gambits and claim something bad like this, so something as risky as this seem more likely to be town.

I know it. Red was mafia hammerer who just claimed the role as town. He hammered automatically. He also won the game by doing little, mostly as town imploded because of an insane psychic but yeah. IIRC he was also among the last people to claim.

Most likely scenario is that red is truthful, I don't believe he pulls this off as scum. I don't want to end day too fast because of someone he didn't even mention himself though.

MZero is the person whose posts I find myself agreeing with the most.
