but it's pretty obvious. with patches and dlc, you get an infinite amount of chances to finish production and development of something. without that, you're locked in to a date when it's released and can't be fixed up again unless there's a remaster many years down the line.Sometimes games were updated in later prints but were still the same game. Metroid Prime 1 is the one example I can think of off the top of my head. Launch disks had access to some cool glitches that later runs had patched. Not all Kickstarters are bad... There's just some very stand out bad ones like this one... Being able to just buy them and flget them quicker than that backers is pretty wild and something I haven't seen before...Yes, there are some exceptions when you're buying from established companies, but honestly the whole Kickstarter model is bad for the funders. Sometimes they're so rich that doesn't even matter, though, and that stuff doesn't make a real dent in their wealth. Either way, they're often in better shape than the rest of us. Unless they're in massive debt or something. The Kmart hung on for quite a long time. It closed sometime in the 2010s, I believe. It was a shadow of its former self for years, though. The town actually used the old Kmart building to give out covid shots back when they were just first widely available.
