You know what, back when I used to eat from lolmcdonalds, I used to really like the mcchicken and spicy mcchicken.

I remember I used to take a quarter pounder and a mcchicken and combine the two to eat in a feast of ultimate decadence

But mostly lame. It came out in 2019 and Seth Rogen really thought he could bring back the "movie about fat ugly guy with nothing of value to offer can score beautiful hot blonde" trope meme from the 2000s like knocked up and shit, as if anyone ever wanted to see that again.

But Charlize Theron is pretty great, her character is likable enough although they also make her character very wish fulfillmenty with stuff like not just being attracted to a scraggly neckbearded looking seth Rogen, but also immediately orgasming after he puts it in.

Seth Rogen plays this journalist who "tells it like it is" and is uncompromising in his soapbox morality, and so no news outlet will hire him. He ends up being hired by the vice president played by Charlize Theron, who wants to run for president after the current idiot former actor president resigns, and is juggling both her pro environment policies and pleasing the president to get his endorsement for her campaign so that she can win.

The 2 end up hooking up and falling in love throughout the course of the movie through pitfalls and pratfalls.

Movie does have some good scenes its just the premise that's ridiculously laughable.

The concept of pitching games to retailers to stock on their shelves isn't a thing anymore

Journalists doing super important pre- release coverage died with print media. Now there's literally hundreds of sources with their own following including just putting up their own video. Notable producers, executives and developers can just do interviews whenever.

E3 stopped doing investor presentations years ago and thank goodness

That just leaves marketing to gamers. No need to go to a showfloor for that. Most gamers online are just gonna talk about how shit each presentation was anyway.

They an even host demo events online now so don't even need a showfloor for that. Not that most major publishers are even interested in pre-release demos these days anyway. If they were they can just release them digitally.

Only thing missing is people in the industry networking. I'm sure Keighley does his thing to try and keep that happening for Summer Game Fest and the Game Awards.

Networking is a good point, how would someone even enter the industry now and how would publishers and devs get along. Lotta missed potential to find the next B-game with a modest following thats not quite AAA but not unpolished indie messes either.
