Have never read the manga or seen the anime. How characters are drawn was always the sticking point for me, I couldn't get over the art style.

I'm through 4 episodes of the live action so far and I'm really enjoying it. That being said I really enjoyed the Cowboy Bebop love action too (having never seen the source material either) and didn't understand why it was panned and not renewed.

Last time I renewed I was pissed because I knew that you got offers if you got close to expiry or outright let it lapse. And the subscription auto-renewed on an annual even though I knew I had turned auto-renew off.

So at some point they had turned auto-renew back on without my knowledge

Literally just updated like 2 weeks ago but purely because there was a great deal I was able to take advantage of by using a friends student discount. I got a the top model of the OnePlus 11 5G for $425.

Before that my phone was 2.5 years old and honestly nothing wrong with it other than the battery life was getting questionable. I could have definitely kept using it for probably at least another year unless the battery deteriorated a lot more.

I can't think of a single time a friend has died in one of my dreams. I mean it's entirely possible, you tend to forget dreams fairly quickly.

That being said, I can safely say the answer is no because I don't think I've ever even discussed a dream with anyone except my wife and even that's really rare.

Blink from Doctor Who is fantastic. Charlie Work in Always Sunny is great too. It was the first episode of always sunny that I saw and prompted me to find the rest.

Although after thinking about it a little it may be season/battle passes kind of. Games like Madden, FIFA, NBA2K, etc I will never touch despite being a massive sports fan because of how focused they are on the purchased loot boxes that are super predatory. Firm believer that if you buy a game it should be complete and they shouldn't be milking you for more cash unless it's adding substantial content (i.e. large scale DLC). Those type of loot boxes should come through playing the game not through spending cash

They are a luxury tax team with Harden on the books. If they trade him and only get shit / backend roster pieces back then they are still a luxury tax team.

If Harden has walked for nothing they would have actually been at the normal salary cap. I forget what their FA business was outside Paul Reed but they could have gotten under the cap if they wanted. They could have theoretically opened a max slot if they dumped Harris off too (not that this FA class was good)

Zero sympathy for Harden. Third trade request in 3 years. At some point you have to accept personal responsibility.

I think what probably happened is Harden took a cutprice deal last season on a handshake deal he opt out and get paid this year. Morey reneged and Harden opted in when he didn't like his options in FA figuring he could demand a trade and make a mess. Now he's at the nuclear stage because the trade hasn't happened

Well yeah but I wouldn't say 650 gets you top credit. Usually they list ranges as Poor, Fair, Good, Very Good, Exceptional and 650 is still classed as Fair.

I'd say that it isn't until 720 ish where things get reasonable which is around the middle of the middle category (Good)

Credit number basically is meaningless unless you are brand new to credit or are way overutilizing it and not paying off bills.

You basically need something like a 650 to be considered top credit, which is really really easy and not going to be affected by paying off a car loan

The way credit works is stupid but there's no way 650 is anywhere close to being top credit.

My wife had a credit rating of high 600s. Mine is just over 800. The difference in rates she was offered when getting a new car was massively different to the rates I could get if I put it in my name instead (which is obviously what we did)

A quick glance at a mortgage calculator has a 1.4% rate difference on a 30 year mortgage between 650 and 780 which is a sizeable difference on 30 years worth of interest.

my solution to the supermax hurting smaller franchises is just to have only the regular max amount count against the cap. only for the team who signed you to the contract though, if you get traded then the whole thing counts against the cap

That's how I've always thought it should be too.

Problem with the supermax is if a player is eligible you basically have to pay it. And the only way you're winning with a supermax contract on the books is if that player is a top 5 player during that deal (or a large bulk of it). And by the last years of a supermax contract, any player who would be eligible for it has a ton of mileage on their legs. They may be late 20s / early 30s but if it's a supermax player they probably played a lot of minutes and saw a lot of the ball and you would expect the team saw playoff minutes too.

So there's a far greater chance of a supermax ruining a team than causing it to win since they are likely already an over the cap team by the time they sign the deal.

Don't they have an automatic bid in the new playoff format? So really they should try stick together for that and some middling team is gonna womp on weak teams all year before playing a team with a pulse in the playoffs

Yeah this is the real correct answer. I played 1.0 through to the shutdown and actually didn't mind it but I understand why people did. At 1.0 end it was unfathomable that it would become the most popular MMO over a prolonged period of time. It was far more realistic that it would just shut down completely.

There's no way anyone could have predicted after the 1.0 mess it would end up how it did now.

Nier is a good call too. Got shitty reviews at the time and I ended up buying it for like I dunno 5-10 very shortly after release because it bombed that hard. Again completely unfathomable it would become a cult classic and get sequels at all nevermind uber popular ones

I won the AFC North 6-10 one year. And then beat poor Jukkie in the wildcard round after he won like 12-14 regular season games. At least I think he was at the Pats at that point

Also I'm pretty sure if the Browns beat me this week, it eliminates me from AFC North contention (but not wildcard). They would be 9-5 and me 7-7. H2H would be 1-1 but they would be 4-1 in the North to my 3-3. Maybe there's some obscure multiway tie where it goes to conference record or something that wouldn't be worth checking on as it would be so unlikely to happen

Nowadays I'm a casual gamer so probably 2 or 3. In the past it would probably be a 5 since I've been involved in quite a few world firsts in MMOs and was part of that sort of crowd for like 10 years.

Started reading the Solo Leveling book whilst on a plane yesterday because I had nothing else to do. This does not feel particularly well written? It feels like I could write better than this. I'm not sure the order things came out but did the manga release first and then the book piggybacked off that so they didn't care on quality or something.

It's not awful, it's just very basic I guess. Or maybe it's because I don't read a ton anymore and what I do read is far higher quality (Terry Pratchett is my favorite author) so the quality difference is noticeable.

I use Facebook purely for keeping in touch with family since I'm 4000+ miles removed from them. The actual feed part of Facebook is completely unusable though as it's all just groups and promoter material and no actual statuses anymore. Or maybe nobody posts them anymore? I know I basically never do.

Then I use Twitter purely for the local sports community (so Orlando Magic community and Orlando City) and nothing else.

For reddit I visit 2 subreddits for mobile games although reddit in general annoys me with how feeds work. I don't know how it took off as I vastly prefer message board format.

I can't imagine using things like Instagram or TikTok or Snapchat or whatever the fuck else is out there now. I see how people get sucked into a black holes with them and TikTok especially seems designed to just brainmush you for hours. I mean a lot of social media is but that in particular seems horrendous for attention span and productivity as it's just going to suck you into dopamine hit after dopamine hit on nothing content.

Ha, so after that being the only time I could recall it happening, it literally just happened in a gacha game I play. They released a challenge boss today and there's a glitch that allows infinite turns. If you take the free win (I did), there's no turning back as it's a 1 time clear.

Looking at the mechanics, I'd have easily won without the glitch anyway though

I quickly voted tea before realizing there's a both option. I drink both but it's probably a 80/20 split in favor of tea. Always hot.

I have a ton of tea varieties at home whereas coffee there's one specific blend I like from a local coffemaker

I haven't been playing to see what she does but I assume what they did is extremely lazy coding. I'm guessing they made her ability just toggle on the location that does the same thing as her ability. Which effectively ties her ability to the location instead of the card and so when she gets disabled, they forgot to toggle the location ability off.

I watched it and I enjoyed it for the most part but definitely had issues with parts of it.

The main villain was very eh with shitty motives / character that they didn't build on like at all.

Ballister turning on Nimona and causing the end sequence felt so out of place. He swung way too far way too quickly against Nimona given how he was in the rest of the movie and what he had been asking of Goldenloin all movie.

Personal gripe but I wanted more out of Nimona's backstory. Like I know how she got to be where she is but I wanted to know about what she actually was.

I have to wonder how much IRing Glennon last season hurt me or if I ultimately just saved him from OVR drops.

O-line, HB and receivers are basically the same between all 3 seasons. The bad season did have some O-line injuries but was actually at its worst results and QB performance wise when everyone was healthy.

I'm really sorry to hear that and completely understand what you're going through.

My 19 year old cat passed away July 16th last year. It wasn't unexpected and she actually gave me ~6 weeks longer than her diagnosis but I was still absolutely devastated. She was my tiny shadow who followed me everywhere.

What was unexpected was my 8 year old boy passed away unexpectedly on January 10th this year. He just got breathing difficulties out of nowhere, spent $4000 in emergency vet bills the day it happened and there was nothing they could do to save him and they couldn't even say what was the cause. I'll never forget how he was looking at me and his cries asking me to help him. There was no limit to what I was willing to spend to save him and I still feel like I failed him even today.

It does get easier over time but the sadness will never truly go away. I'm not ashamed to say I broke down crying about them both earlier this week after being ok for quite some time. And I'm definitely not usually an emotional person.

I don't know if it will help you but I made a shrine in a display cabinet for them both. Photos, paw print and their ashes side by side. It's on prominent display in the room I'm most frequently in.

Had avoided coming in the topic as I wanted to avoid spoilers but the game is literally unplayable for me. When it very first takes you to world map the game crashes and I can't get past that point at all

Even if Digital games were $5 more at launch I would still pay the extra to not have to swap out discs. Being able to instantly boot up every single game I own whenever I want is an ENORMOUS benefit. I can also take my console anywhere and have my entire library with me.

I'm the reverse. I will happily pay more money to have the physical copy.
