This is what I first thought when I read this topic. Different people have a different number of taste buds and the more you have the more sensitive you are to different flavors.

I'm more talking about different...maybe types was the wrong word. But like different brands of donuts.

Same thing with gummies, or any type of candy. Sour gummy worms? All taste the same. Gummy bears? Same. Cupcakes? The same.

I'm lactose intolerant, easy choice.

This game is rigged.

Opponent runs an invisible woman + Hela + Modok deck and gets, in the final hand, Tribunal, Iron Man, Giganto, Infinaut, and Onslaught. Literally the perfect hand.

They also did a Jubilee turn 4 and managed to pull Morbius.

Why, oh why, does this happen to every player that plays this deck except when I try it?

They all smell like donuts. Earlier in the week my friend brought me some of the 'best cupcakes' she's ever had. It tasted like a cupcake. Just overly sweet with frosting and cake and some sprinkles.

How do people tell the difference? I've got no clue.

Like...you give me a glazed donut from Dunkin or Krispy Kreme, can't tell the difference, they taste the same. Same with a cupcake or a cookie. Unless the texture is wildly different, for whatever reason, the stuff just doesn't have enough if a distinct taste. Just sweet. I'm not a big sweets person either, so maybe that's it?

But you give me a plain ol steak or a burger and I can tell you exactly what's different tasting about them.

Not sure why.

When Three Days Grace switched from Adam Gontier to Matt Walst I hated it. But I haven't listened to TDG in years so I decided to give their first single after Adam another shot. I honestly thought "Maybe I'm overreacting."

But nah. It's terrible.

Their first single after replacing Adam was I Am Machine. Which, alright, a bit on the nose with the title and it's very evident what the meaning is right off that bat. But that can be expected, it's a song.

The lyrics are awful. They're dull, boring, and straight up...they feel factory produced. Like someone was trying to write it with a genre in mind rather than something with...idk, what would the word be? Feeling? It lacks a human touch, and feels, ironically, robotic. It's meant to appeal to the masses rather than being a song that has meaning and feeling. Which is a big part of what I liked about TDG when I first started listening.

It was really only years later that I learned the music was written by Adam Gontier who put his personal experiences and his own pain into the music he wrote. For example, arguably one of their biggest bits was I Hate Everything About You.

The song was written with Adam's personal pain and dealings with drugs and abuse. Maybe I'm being a bit dramatic, but you can feel it in his voice, and in the lyrics by themselves. It's very emotional, and quite strong in terms of lyrical quality with honestly Adam's very dynamic voice...it is just really good.

There's a stark difference in quality that I just can't get over. I like their music, their instrumentals, but the vocals and lyrics of new TDG music just doesn't stick with me the same way.

Idk, am I alone in feeling this way?

For posterity purposes, I haven't given a listen to Adam's other band. I plan to, but I have to force myself to listen to music.

Yeah Im leaning towards just pulling the trigger, I also dont have Jeff so I need 4 spotlights for the first week of December but I just roughly did the math and I'll definitely be back to 4 by then just from the 450 credits per day from Daily Missions even if I spend another 2 this week

Was pulling spotlights this week for Kitty since I started after they gave her to everyone for free and hit her on #2 (with X-23 on the first), debating on continuing to pull for Nico and Phoenix

Phoenix is REALLY good and Nico is arguably one of if not the best cards in a month of really good ones. I'd say it's worth it tbh.

There are also Twitch drops going on, its a Shocker variant though so will only ever be used in High Evo, but you can get an easy 500 credits if you just open a stream with drops, mute the tab, and let it run for 4 hours
