The land should stay with the people who currently live there. All of them. Israeli, Palestinian, or otherwise. It's the governments that need urgent replacing; not the civilians.

Obviously recent illegal settlements are a different matter, but I'm meaning in terms of people who've lived there a couple of generations and don't know any other home.

Seeing that shit that's been pushed on you from an early age is just that - shit - is an experience almost everyone has to go through sooner or later. I'm guessing at this point you grew up in Israel, or at least, in conditions with close ties to / support for Israel (eg. Israeli diaspora, or a Jewish or hardcore Christian community)? If so, you should take note of the many other people from such backgrounds who have already come around and realized the real nature of what's going on. And to be utterly clear, you can keep your religion without keeping your support of Israel. They are two entirely seperate matters, no matter how much Israel tries to convince people otherwise.

It's perfectly valid to be mad about Oct 7th. The thing is - Oct 7th is over. Protesting it now won't change the slightest thing about it (edit: okay in fairness, it might get some bodies home, but that's about it; it won't prevent further atrocities). Israel's atrocities are happening on a daily basis. If Israel were to stop comitting atrocities, or even to only be comitting them at a level comparable to Hamas, you would not see the same "imbalance" in the levels of outrage at each side.

It kind of feels like, though, that you don't want anyone to criticize these ongoing atrocities without a token reference to that event. What exactly does that achieve at this point?

In general, swearing is fine. Sexually explicit content or direct insults are not, but swearing at a user in a way that isn't a direct insult is fine. Hence "shut the fuck up" and "fuck off" are fine, while "go fuck yourself" isn't (because it's "sexual" even though literally no one is suggesting a literal sexual act when they say it).

16 days a year (because I do 4 day weeks, and the entitlement is based on weeks rather than individual days). Plus any public holidays that fall on a day I usually work, I can either have them off or have another day of my choice off in their place. (Except the couple the store is closed, which is just a day off with no alternative option.)

Yeah, but disputes go to a vote. Which makes it weird that one would get upheld when all the others are getting overturned, unless there's some other minor thing in it that was technically a violation too (since reducing it to a more appropriate penalty for the minor infraction isn't an option they have when voting, as far as I know, although even then I'm surprised a lead or admin can't do anything here, such as overturn and then re-moderate as an NKL).

That's weird. You should enquire on ATM or Hellhole about that, because several of us have had similar moderations overturned. (You are allowed to ask on ATM nowdays as long as you don't try to argue with their response.)

If they can't vote, that seems fair. Although I would be asking some very big questions about anyone who simultaneously thinks that legal immigrants shouldn't have voting rights but prisoners should. (Both, or neither, or the other way around, are all a fair bit less questionable.)

If they can't vote, they shouldn't count. In cases where they can... I still kinda feel they should count towards where they'd be living if they weren't in prison.

(Under the laws here, prisoners can vote if their sentence is less than 3 years. I don't recall for sure if that was 3 years total, or simply 3 years remaining.)

There is no good guy other than the innocent civilians on both sides. The rest are both the bad guys.

My point was, at one point there was at least some degree of "maybe they just don't realize/believe it" possibility; but these days there is no way anyone can still genuinely think Israel are good. Anyone still supporting Israel must be assumed to be a wilful supporter of Palestinian genocide, no exceptions.

No one "picks random sides". Outside of a small number who have personal connections, the alt-right types always side with the worst evil (Russia, Israel) and the rest of the people side with those who are not evil (Ukraine, civilians in Palestine and Israel).
