That sounds expensive and risky. If I were telling the truth, all I'd have to do is email the phone call with all the hemming and hawing and back and forth about the work location to the EEOC. Then the company's lawyers have to convince the judge that actually none of that stuff mattered at all and their non-discriminatory reasons for denying me the job were totally for realsies the only relevant ones. Also if I were to take them to court and win, they'd have to pay me damages for discrimination, then hire me remotely anyway, then pay me back pay for the time I missed, then have the federal government go through all their policies and handbook to make sure everything is compliant and probably do a bunch of training and stuff.

I'm not going to actually sue but that's whistleblowing. Firing people or denying them employment for whistleblowing is also super illegal. This is why I'm limiting my search to one-party consent states

if you actually start threatening someone during an interview they absolutely wouldn't just take your word that you are unable to work on site...you would have to prove it. either way they would for sure deny you employment for trying to pull that kind of move, no one is hiring someone who shows up to an interview threatening them lol your best bet is to just try and get the job you want like everyone else does

i have no issue with dame demanding a trade and i don't even have an issue with him listing a handful of teams he wants to be shipped to, but demanding only one situation just isn't realistic in most scenarios and would ensure the team doesn't get value if they only consider one offer. i think the organization did right by him by sending him to a top 4 team in the league with an unquestionable top 2 player to pair with.

i disagree wholly with this. herro is a dime a dozen type, there are loads of guards that can get around 20 ppg but can't play defense. that is much harder to find than a legit two way guard who has a championship pedigree and is on an expiring contract. herro isn't a bad player by any means, but him making 30 million a year makes his contract a negative asset and the blazers have loads of guards and there is no reason to think they would be any more successful in trading him than miami has been considering miami has been trying to trade him for two years.

portland would have absolutely dealt with the heat if they had made a serious offer, but they reportedly never did out of arrogance that they were bidding against themselves. none of miami's assets were anything the blazers were interested in, they would have needed a third team like the bucks found.

the trade made the bucks better in the short and longterm but most importantly for them it will make giannis happy and almost certainly make him willing to resign considering dame seems to have been the main guy he wanted to team up with lately.

it worked out great for the blazers because they were able to get a good big who wanted a new situation and loads of assets they have and will be able to continue flipping for more stuff for their rebuild. they have a bright future imo

the suns didn't get better on paper but they got rid of the disgruntled player they have been trying to shop for two years and they absolutely added valuable depth that they desperately needed. i think in practice the suns are better now, especially if they can keep nurkic healthy.

the celtics also inadvertently (from the bucks perspective) improved considerably by trading for jrue. they now have a proven champion to run the point after getting rid of smart and they somehow massively upgraded at pg while also bringing in a good veteran/leader after they got rid of smart for porzingis. them losing timelord definitely isn't optimal, but overall i think they definitely improved and are my pick in the east despite losing two solid defensive players. even if jrue can't score at the same clip he could a few years ago the leadership and being the defensive anchor in the backcourt will be super valuable.

i think it is obviously a four team race between celtics/bucks and nuggets/suns assuming everyone stays healthy

the bengals scare me only because burrow has been hurt all season and that o-line has been awful while dobbs has looked surprisingly solid for the cards. i think the bengals will get better but i am skeptical right now.

eagles do seem very likely to win but i think lawrence is good with a couple good weapons and their defense mostly looks good while the eagles have been really solid but a little more shaky looking than last season.

i will also consider the commanders somewhat but am leaning lions only because i want to possibly take dolphins in week 6 if i can survive this coming week. i fully expect the lions to have at least a couple wtf losses and the panthers have no reason to willfully tank since they traded their '24 first to draft young, but the lions just seem so much more talented and they are also at home and goff is pretty consistently solid while young has looked bad. i would fear panthers more if they were starting the red rocket

gonna have to choose between dolphins and lions next week although the lions are always a risky pick imo

biden has made mostly the right decisions as potus. he has been much better than he was as a senator showing that even some politicians can adapt with the times and move toward the right direction even if they weren't inclined to do that in the past.

his environmental decision haven't been good as potus imo even though he was in a really tough spot he could have made the unpopular but necessary decisions there, but otherwise he has been really solid.

biden isn't perfect but he has been good as president and definitely better than any potus in the last 40-50 years easily. no president can be perfect, they will all make some wrong decisions or come in with the wrong ideas on some issues, but when the alternative is straight up fascism it makes the choice clear if we have someone at least trying to do the right thing most of the time.

this also. i enjoyed 3 but they got worse and worse after 2 and it is by far the gold standard of the series

i can't imagine how someone could like jrpgs and not like star ocean 2 tbh

so2 on ps1 is maybe the best ps1 rpg imo and that is a console with loads of amazing rpgs. it is by far the best star ocean game and the in depth item creation was way ahead of its time along with having maybe the most epic post-game dungeon of all time

and i think 3rd was great but not on the same level as first or second chapter. they are all phenomenal games imo so the 'worst' ones i still find better than like 99% of other games

i really do wish they would release the sky games on switch tho. it would give a much wider audience a chance to play the super amazing beginning of the lore

i started azure myself after finishing zero. it's my first replay and i went with new game + because i know there are supposedly a few optional bosses only available in ng+

azure is a top 3 trails game imo and i really think you will love it if you have enjoyed the others tc, especially if you really liked zero

What's the line to be drawn? An 80 year old can have decades left in them. There needs to be a serious focus on the policies that show this conflict of interest before we even think about forcibly removing elected officials for belonging to a vulnerable group of people.

nah plenty of jobs have age caps and the highest level us legislative jobs should as well.
