So yeah Cid and Vincent probably playable in the next game. And the end of this game is what most people were expecting, Forgotten City.

SN had way better combat than Arise but everything else was a mess. I didn't even really like Arise but it was better than SN.

Yeah the NintendoLand game on Wii U had some fun games like the ghost game or one where everyone is hunting Mario while he's on the gamepad.

Yeah my immersion has been broken a few times because you meet a lot of characters doing quests. Then after the quest ends and you try to interact with them again they'll be like "Who are you and why are you in my house?"

Like bro we just spent an hour together rescuing your farm or whatever.

I get that it would be hard to account for all of this kinda stuff and give characters multiple dialogue options depending on your relationship with them or something but it's still kinda lame.

Just won first round of conquests for 8 cubes then proceeded to lose five 2 cube games in a row to lose the conquest.

This game can go fuck itself right now.

Some German Playstation or Sony account had a tweet about FF7Rebirth earlier this week that they ended up deleting so yeah that sounds likely.

I'm taking it to mean her text is literally going to change each turn to one of her different spells.

So on turn 1 it might say:

On Reveal: After you play your next card, destroy it and draw 2 cards.

Then on turn 2 she might say:

On Reveal: After you play your next card, add a copy of it to your hand

Then on turn 3 she might say:

On Reveal: After you play your next card, move it one location to the right.

So basically a random selection of one of the spells to make you decide if you want to Play Nico and use the spell that turn or wait for the one you need.

Considering how many Jedi actually survived Order 66 I think most of them will be fine.

In the game's defense I was trying to do content that was like 20 levels above where I was or something but it still rubbed me the wrong way.

Yeah I lost interest when I got to Midgar and I was beating normal encounters by using 1 Jump.

Then I tried doing higher level content and it was impossible because you can't break their limit gauge fast enough to avoid just dying to their limit. You can play perfectly and dodge every attack but they're still impossible if you're too low a level.

So I noped out after that.

Ah the targeting skill definitely seems to be the missing piece.

I'm having trouble boarding ships. Is there an easy way to take out the engines without blowing up the ship? Maybe I need to change my weapons or something?

That Trunks final sword animation is so bad lol. I'm not blown away by either unit so maybe I'll just pass on part 2.

No Goku Black is so disappointing. I guess they want him to carry his own celebration but how long is it going to be until we get another future saga celebration?

I think Magik being dropped to 3 energy basically killed Electro. Electro was mostly used to try to get multiple 6 drops out but Magik does the same thing with the added benefit of being able to draw an extra card (via turn 7) and play multiple cards a turn.

I also got lucky to dodge the Hit Monkey variant but it took 3 spotlights to get Alioth and Snowguard.

Yeah the 5th character is when the story starts to get going but it never really hits a peak IMO. Could have been better.

That was the first deck I tried with Samurai and it was too slow.

Wheels is an interesting foundation for something that could be good. But in it's current state it's too simple to be any fun.

Eastward played like Zelda but it's seriously 80% dialogue and 20% gameplay. I gave up after 10 hours because I would spend 2 hours just reading dialogue and doing nothing in the game.

Crosscode is fantastic though. The story is a little stupid but the combat is fun and the puzzles are great.

Yeah the top post on Reddit right now is a gold split of the level 50 season pass Loki variant.

Meaning someone spent enough gold to level up the battle pass to get the variant. Then more gold on boosters to level up Loki enough to split him 5+ times to get the gold split.

Mobile whales are really something else. Why bother making a real game when someone is willing to pay you probably $300+ for a JPG in a mobile game.

Did my first draw and then immediately uninstalled after being prompted to upgrade weapons. Really hate gacha games like this where there are 500 different upgrade materials you need to collect to upgrade stuff.

I think this game will be interesting if they eventually add playable episodes for Advent Children too. Maybe they can fix that story by making it playable.

Yeah I'm in the same boat, I'm thinking if this were on PC or Switch I'd play it more. It feels clunky on my phone so far.

Jubilee can replace Iron Lad in some decks now that she draws the top card. But I feel like most decks that are running Iron Lad are probably already running Jubilee too.

Spoilers for both games:

I assumed that the Messenger takes place in a completely different 3rd world. Fleshmancer reincarnates Brugaves to be the fast demon general in The Messenger and reincarnates the Acolytes to be the Demon King in a new world.

I'm sure we'll get better answers in the DLC.

Nah the beginning is usually good with gacha because they need to hook you so they throw a bunch of free shit at you. It's when the content slows to a crawl or you hit a wall that it starts to suck.

I downloaded it last night but haven't had a chance to play yet. Don't really need another gacha in my life but if it's fun we'll see.

Open the map screen and you'll see a prompt at the bottom to ask the parrot stuff.

And yeah the art and music were good but those don't rank highly for what I look for in games personally.

Yeah that's true I ended up just using a guide for most of the side quests that weren't obvious.

Game beated, true ending.

24 hours total playtime. A good little game that doesn't really do anything particularly great but overall a good experience.

Wow collecting missions feels so much better after this latest update. It's too early to tell but it also might have stopped melting my phone and killing my battery whenever I play for more than 10-15 minutes.

I just watch them online on free websites. The quality has gotten pretty good in recent years.

Yeah when I play on PC eventually the first thing I'm going to do is raise the carry limit in the console. It's really easy apparently.

"This turn" seems to imply that it only works for the turn it reveals, not every turn. Unless you Snowguard it I guess!

How would Sif help Black Knight? Black Knight needs to discard something like Infinaut then his Ebony Blade is a 4/20 (nice).

Also they better nerf the Super Kitty deck before Elsa Bloodstone comes out. Kitty can fill a lane every turn and get +3 buff.

EDIT: Oh I didn't realize that BK doesn't discard a card himself. Yeah that's not nearly as good.

Y'all gotta go to the app store or Google Play and update manually. But you can also keep playing in the old version until it forces you to update. You usually get more bots if you don't force an update too so you can abuse Cerebro 5 in ranked probably lol

I like the timed hits. I'll probably beat the game tonight or tomorrow (just doing side quests now) and I'd give it an 8/10.

Some of the side quests seem to have way too much back tracking for my liking though.

I'm pretty sure Nico cycles through all of the abilities listed on her card each turn. So all of those things listed are what her effect could randomly be each turn.

I've never had stick drift on PS4/5 but the X button on my PS5 controller only works about 50% of the time now so I had to get a new one.

Well it's a 2/6 which is pretty good for the cost. And you could negate the effect by using Prof X or filling all of your lanes.

I'm nearing the end myself and I think it flips eventually and it starts getting too easy to break locks. I've fought two optional bosses and I was able to break them both 100% of the time so I only had to deal with normal attacks.

Delay is too strong of a mechanic. It's on a skill, a 2 point combo, and an ultimate attack. You can basically just cycle through all of them whenever you need to delay and by the time you've used two of them the 3rd one is going to be ready again.

So if you're ever not prepared for a break then you can just delay them for 3 turns and break them easily.

As someone who played Chrono Trigger for the first time in 2021 it didn't hold up great. The thing that stood out to me the most was how little the cast all interacted with each other.

But that could also be a byproduct of only being able to take 3 out on a mission at a time or however the system worked in that game.

Either way if Chrono Trigger released in 2023 it would be pretty disappointing I think.

5th character spoilers: He says they're supposed to fail and die based on the story he's reading... but what if they didn't. Then he opens the door for them so they can keep the story going. His archive room is in the water tower or whatever, he opens a portal to the ice mountain.

I'm about 18 hours in and yeah the leads don't really get much better. With how much inspiration they took from Chrono Trigger they didn't need to take everything. Making the leads have 0 personality almost feels like a choice.

That being said the 2nd half does make some interesting choices in the story.

But yeah the combat just needs more going on. I'm not done yet but I think I can easily say that Chained Echoes is the better game in pretty much all major regards.
