I wasn't the one who implied limits are undemocratic. But if they are, then there is an example where we are fine putting limits on democracy. If we can have an age minimum, we can have an age maximum. We can limit people from being career politicians. Directly electing leaders from within a new framework is still democracy.It's better to have those that have knowledge and experience to teach the younger crowd. Just because one is old doesn't mean they're no longer useful. A lot of old people are still sharp-minded and could run circles around you or me. --- Insert some witty line here |

Well, they did have that referendum that almost brought positive change to California a few years back, but people cared more about voting blue no matter who than bringing policies that would actually benefit them.Look at red states. People in those states have been voting red for years, and what policies have benefited them? 9 of the 10 poorest states are Republican controlled. Blue states contribute more into social programs than they take in, while it's the opposite for red states. --- Insert some witty line here |

It actually is. If you commit theft on items < $950 it's a misdemeanor that goes nowhere. The police won't arrest you, you'll get a ticket at max and that's if they bother actually catching you which they won't. I like how extra lives mattered in older games. It was another resource to discover, manage, and earn. At least when implemented correctly.
