Comedies are the hardest movies to make, and should win the majority of awards.

Many of the great dramatic films of the classic era (30s and 40s especially) were made by people who excelled in comedy. It turns out that occasionally making the audience laugh while telling a story works really well for dramas because it gives them a human warmth that a lot of films lack. John M. Stahl is certainly a good filmmaker, and there are quite a few gems in his filmography, but there's a reason his best movies aren't as well remembered as those of Frank Capra or Howard Hawks. You don't have to squint quite so much to enjoy them. They just aged better.

Nah, F13 is definitely considered a better movie than the ones mentioned. They're just wrong. I guess the hotter take would beem specifying The Mutilator, The Slayer, etc. as good.

Friday the 13th is super mid, even for slasher films, and a lot of the '80s slasher films with weaker reputations are much more fun or interesting, like The Mutilator, Madman, Blood Rage, and The Slayer.

On the contrary, I demand an even tinier horse and I am willing to pay top dollar for the tiniest horse you have.

If landlords are doing something for money, it's not good and everything should be deprived from them.

Maybe. Both fandoms are unbearable and pretentious in any case, even more than their respective franchises. Just for different reasons. Like, fascism seems way less popular with Dragon Ball fans than with Star Wars fans.

It's not enough to just ban the party. It's leaders and chief influencers have to be actively purged from public life, blacklisted from any and all social influence, and imprisoned for their crimes. You can't just slap a band-aid on this shit, American conservatism is a massive infection that would require a very deep cleaning to be truly rid of.

Naturally, none of this will happen, liberalism is complicit in allowing the spread of conservatism and prudent to the point of impotence when it comes to the spread of fascism, and unfortunately we are a liberal democracy.

You have to remember that any changes to the law to facilitate stripping conservatives of rights are going to be enforced by the same system that's currently letting conservatives get away with actual super blatant crimes while looking for any excuse to step on minorities and the poor. In an alternate world that's not the case then maybe the argument can be revisited, but as things are now I stand by my sentiment.

Since the current government is systematically designed to not persecute conservatives, but in fact to coddle them, any suggestion that such be done necessarily implies a radical change of government.

It's actually astounding Disney ran the most popular sci-fi series in the world into the ground in a few years time.

The franchise is bigger now than it has been since the '80s, and by all indications, the best entry in the whole series is a television show that spun off from a spin-off. That Disney produced.

That probably explains it. I don't like the world of the prequels at all. It's one of the reasons that I just stopped paying attention to the franchise, and never watch the Clone Wars cartoon until I was an adult (I actively hate that show, more than the prequel themselves).

People like Ron DeSantis should be facing actual legal consequences for their policies. And considering how many people are dying as a result of them, those consequences should be dire.

The prequels are a great toy commercial. Can't actually stand watching them though. The sequels feel more like movies so they're better.

The harm being done to innocent people by states like Florida does not heavily conflict with the goals of the US government or its representatives. If they did, Ron DeSantis would be in a cell right now, or he'd be dead, the way they do to leftist leaders.
