My current coworker. He's my manager. He's a couple of years older than me, and we went to high school together. I don't recall ever interacting with him because he was weird and ran in a different social circle than I did. But he acts as if we've been friends since then. I didn't even know his name until I started working here and I thought "oh, it's that guy."

You know the type of person that weasels their way into a group, buddies up with leader, then proceeded to boss everyone around because they're friends with the leader. Yeah, that's the kind of guy he is. Just all around slimy, and controlling. Will do anything to get near a powerful person so they can try and push others around with the other person's authority.

Anyway, he's extremely pervy too. I've never been comfortable with people who talk like he does about women(or anyone really). He's really obese, and kind of ugly, has bad hygiene and such. Which all on it's own isn't that bad... Until he sees a young or attractive woman. Then he acts so stupid, describes what he thinks of her and what he wants to do to her. It's disgusting, makes my skin crawl. And no, I'm not just feeling that way just because he's gross physically, I had the same feelings when my more attractive male coworkers made comments like that.

It really feels like he's projecting what he thinks people expect a man to think. Like yes just saying those things so I'll realize he's a man with normal manly interests or something. Honestly, the degree to which he does it makes me think otherwise. Very much feels like overcompensation to hide something else. But he's married to my other coworker who is an even worse person than he is... So I just try to avoid them as much as I can.

Ah, that's a bit of a bummer. I figured the new episodes took place on adventures we just didn't see in the previous ones. As in, it's still looped but we just see more of what we didn't before. Or each loop through the series is a little different until it leads to one that's totally different and that's what we see.

But I guess that's not what they went with.

You guys are a trip. Don't get so down on yourselves. The metrics we generally use to measure ones success are bullshit and remnants of a society better off left in the past.
I don't think many people realize the mental burden that it builds up over time. They get experience and growth, and have their expectations tempered and can set realistic expectations for themselves, and their relationships. That's healthy and natural.
When denied that, the constant reminder that you can't succeed when biologically driven to do so just builds up a lot of stress. It doesn't stop, it just compounds year after year. It weighs your mind down until the only thing you can believe about yourself is that you're pathetic.

Twice.

Once because the light over my rear license plate was out. No ticket, just a warning to get it fixed.

Again once when I stopped for gas and the cop followed me out of the parking lot saying he was told someone in a similar vehicle ran a stop sign... But he literally watched me pull off the ground interstate then get gas next to him before he followed me out. Then he asked what drugs I was on and gave me a breathalyzer... >_>
He let me go after a while, but he was pretty insistent that I did something wrong.

I sometimes have a dream where I'm trapped with a bunch of spiders. It changes up enough that I don't think it's the same one over and over, just ends the same.

I don't recall a lot of the details, but they usually end up with me having to crawl into some dirty place like underneath my house, or through a cave tunnel. I always end up going face first into a spider web which has little spiders all over in it and they start crawling on me.

By that point there's no turning back and I'm too constrained by the surroundings to do anything, so I try to push through and continue when bigger ones show up I end up just covered in webs with spiders crawling through my clothes. I'm not trapped by them or anything, just totally covered by the webs I'm crawling through while freaking out. Eventually I have to do a death roll to try and kill them off of and just dislodge more and more from above.

Then the dream ends when I either start screaming for help, or I give up and just lay still hoping they'll leave.

He's extremely obese, poor hygiene, perverted, balding and greasy, sleazy, controlling, manipulative and lying.

Literally anytime a young or attractive woman walks by he'll be staring at her. Then makes nasty remarks about them to me. I get so grossed out by him and the things he says.

I had a dream this powerful succubus appeared in and I was going to sleep with her. I woke up before the act.

A month later a novice succubus appeared in another dream and I slept with her. She wasn't even fun - all I remember is a feeling of weight on top of me and it was clear her only motive was to claim my virtue as part of some checklist.

I haven't another since - and that was over a year ago.
Ah right, I didn't realize that was you. I recall that tale now.

It makes characters really dumb for no real reason, has a very predictable ending, does a few things just for shock value that lead to nothing, and undoes pretty much all Fury's character and making him rather incompetent on his own.

Her big plan was hope she walks into the reactor at the right time and win using powers shes never had and she did so fairly easily
They should have at least been struggling to use the powers properly. That could've given her an opportunity to nail him if he tried a big attack and whiffed it and she counterattacked with a smaller more focused one or something.

As it is, they basically both mastered all the skills and abilities instantly. Which I guess you could say is due to Skrulls adapting their DNA and bodies to match others anyway, but the whole thing felt pretty silly. She just kind of outmatched him entirely for no real reason.

Until a few weeks ago I thought Secret Invasion was the introductory chapter for Secret War. That the show would kick things off and then climax in the movie.

Then I learned Secret War is a totally different thing, and the show ran out of steam anyway. A literal hidden worldwide alien invasion was thwarted by 1 guy and 2 helpers. The scale this show should've had could've shaken the entire MCU and had long lasting effects.

But now I'm just left to wonder why Gaia doesn't become entangled in The Marvels.

Oh, you can't see the other groups? My only image of speed dating comes from TV shows where it's like a restaurant or something and people just shift to the next table after a set time. If it's private, and just one on one that seems a bit more reasonable.

Still, I tend to get stressed out when I encounter a bunch of new people or am required to hold a conversation. So those starter conversations would be handy... But would likely be held against me for using them and not having much of my own to say.

Also, segregated by age. There probably wouldn't be many in my bracket then.

Sometimes, but not as often as they used to. I work a social job which has got me more used to that, but it still happens occasionally.

More often by being in a crowd or having lots of people around, or thinking I'm being judged or focused on a lot. So it sounds like a recipe for a bad time.
