Reading through those comments no one seems to be mad at the game for saying the Middle Ages were sexist.

They're mad at the game for being bad and a few of them are mad at the developers for getting history wrong and then being arrogant about it post release.

I feel like you're waving your dick at a shadow here.

One of the arguments really makes little sense - "we don't have evidence there were no black people in Bohemia at the time". That's sort of like saying there's no evidence that Cleopatra wasn't black. We make assumptions about history both on the presence of and absence of evidence. There probably weren't many Africans in Bohemia because they are rarely mentioned in texts or art from the era. It's more of a stretch to assume they had a significant presence than to say they were in the extreme minority. Neither is certain. But simply adding them into the game to satisfy a 21st century desire of inclusiveness would not exactly fit the supposed narrative of the game.

And it is especially pertinent during this #MeToo movement. There's really no debate as to whether he abused his position of power to garner sexual favors. If that's enough to condemn other politicians, he's past due for his own comeuppance.

To me, her entire sexuality can be defined by quip she makes early on: "No one said you could touch."

She basically flips the tables on sexual objectification. She's the boss in her world - men are her subjects. They do her bidding.

It also takes the "you don't have to be ashamed of your body" argument that is commonly used against modeling and fat shaming and takes it to what would probably be an uncomfortable next level - If you don't have to be ashamed of your body, why CAN'T you be hot and flaunt it?

She's not flaunting it to please others. She's doing it because she can, and nobody can stop her.

Ever since it came out, I've always viewed Bayonetta as one of the strongest, alpha-type female leads ever to be introduced to gaming. She's one of the only examples of a female character not held back by some kind of weakness. Plus, the sexualization in Bayonetta seems explicitly geared towards her being a sort of dominatrix type, which few would normally consider to be a "misogynist" fetish (quite the opposite, frankly). The way she's sexualized is completely the opposite of almost any other game. She openly flaunts it because she knows she's ace and her enemies are totally beneath her. It's really empowering, if anything.
