first gen AI is really funny in that the "hard" AI (gym leaders, elite four, rival) will always try to use super-effective moves against your pokemon. however, it's really really bad at realizing what this means: it thinks since one of your types (grass) is weak to one of its move types (poison), it will lock into poisonpowdering you endlessly.
ignoring that you are also a poison type, and that status type moves can't ever be super-effective.
1st gen is a wonderfully broken, silly mess :) :)

this season was definitely better than game changers though, even though "game changers lite" isn't half wrong

the editing was a lot more even, and the game was still a lot more fun despite the twists. but among all the seasons since cagayan ("modern survivor") i only like game changers and worlds apart less

that was a disappointing ending

like, this season wasn't atrocious and the cast was generally pretty fun and good

but all the excitement that we had when the game shifted at final 9 and the drama was ratcheting up? got completely sucked out when ben idoled and advantaged his way to the end and it became ben vs everyone. too many advantages killed a 2nd season in a row, but at least sarah didn't coast to the end on that good fortune. ben's win is an instant bottom 10-er to me, and i don't even dislike the guy!

i dunno, i'm ready to move on and the season's just ended - that's not a good sign for this one in the long-term rankings

This season hasn't been the best, but the turn of the first half of the double episode was really, really good, and sets just about everyone left in an intriguing position going down the stretch.

I especially appreciated that in the first hour the entire plan was introduced, set up, and explained thoroughly to the audience, with only the eventual boot being kept in the dark. When the formula of "person a could get voted out using plan a, but maybe person b might get voted out using plan b" is switched up, it really sets up for an awesome tribal council and episode.

Lauren has been great and I hope she wins. I think it's pretty rare to see a player of her "type" have this much opportunity to show off strategy, which is fun to see. I appreciate that the kinds of people you wouldn't necessarily expect (i.e. not Chrissy, Ryan, and Joe) are still bringing lots of game and strategy, and it was especially fun to see the tables turned on the ones who probably assumed that Lauren, Devon, and Ashley didn't have that sort of game in them.
