Exactly. Clinton is a corrupt POS herself, but at least does an appreciable job covering up most of her scandals like any self-respecting trash politician.

Trump can't stop saying things that are immediately refutable, like within 20 seconds of googling.

Put some thought into it and then come back later.

First of all, you're missing 2 key things

1) The military are people, too. They won't mindlessly follow the government's orders. If a large amount of people revolt, millions, I'm sure parts of the military would, too.

2) How many people are there? How many government officials and/or evil, rich douchebags are there? Numbers are very powerful.

1) That's cool, but no one is arguing that the military should have their guns taken away.

2) How many people have bombs and drones?

I don't know man--one side can't get over their emotional outbursts of buzzwords while the other presents actual facts and statistics and logical reasons why banning guns or certain types is the wrong direction.

At least theyre proposing a solution. What is the other side doing?

Clearly giving people more access to guns isnt working.

Person 1: "Taking away guns won't work."
Person 2: "Then what will?"
Person 1: "Addressing the mental health issues in America."
Person 2: "Good idea, let's increase the coverage of medical insurance and the mental health component therein"

Nintendo going for stuff like Doom, Skyrim and Dark Souls really sends a very positive message about their desire to court "hardcore" games, which is cool. The portability aspect is a big selling point.

That's great and all, but are there that many people who like playing triple-A games on a six inch screen?

I mean... yes.

I don't get to sit around at home for extended binges anymore, but I do have some downtime out and about. I played through Doom for the first time that way.

The change is the lack of morals.

I hate to be the guy to say it, but these shootings are bullshit, and we're lied to about them every single time.

People die, yes. People are killed, yes. The "lone gunman" narratives are fucking bullshit. I won't sit here and tell you who actually pulls the triggerS, but I'll tell you that this is all leading to a mass disarmament of the American people, so that our form of government, our system of laws, and our suburban way of life can eventually be entirely eliminated.

It is a very, very long, psychological process for the elites to get the public to willingly hand over their only form of defense against the inevitable chaotic future.

Before anyone responds to him seriously, also bear in mind this user thinks every single NFL game is rigged.

They don't care. They need those guns to go hunting. They can't hunt deer with a bolt-action Remington 700. They need a Car-15 and fragmentation grenade to kill the deer.

I'm not even interested in opening up the can of worms of "what kind of gun is necessary." That's a whole different thing.

I want to know why we can't even discuss not outlawing a single damn thing, but simply raising the bar to legally obtain one.

I disagree. Youre 100% right several of these mass shooters wouldnt have been stopped by a background check or a stricter license process, would it not be worth it if even ONE of these sickos was stopped by even that slight delay? If ONE guy was feeling desperate, couldnt get his hands on a gun and wasnt patient enough to wait and either a) used a knife or b) tried to get a gun illegally and was busted?

To me, thats worth it if it saves one child.

You know what, Ill try because I hate when people just shut me down out of hand.

@Questionmarktarius, the answer is that it probably wouldnt have. There is no law that can stop all of this outright. Its sad, but true. That said, there are laws that can either slow someone down or outright prevent SOME, and that is infinitely better than nothing. A lonely greasy haired kid, for example, is going to have a harder time getting one of these guns from a gang or the mob or what-have-you, and that can be a deterrent or lead them just using a knife for example, which is still awful but less swiftly destructive.

Preventative policies will never prevent outright, but if SOME gun violence is reduced by a policy that slightly inconveniences gun owners without actually taking anything away, is that not worth it?

The only thing worst about making things political is making things religious.

What's worse than this is absolutely refusing to do anything about the issue and shutting down anyone who tries to find a way to make a change so mass shootings stop.

What is it with conservatives absolute refusal to talk about gun control? It's like a trigger word for them. They just completely shut down any and all conversation.

Its because they, almost to a man, have convinced themselves that giving an inch will automatically lead to taking a mile. I dont think, if they were being honest with themselves, many conservatives would truly despise a stricter background check or licensing process, or closing gun show loopholes. The issue is that they read that, but hear step one to a total government seizure of my weapons.

Should be noted that I dont really blame them for not implicitly trusting the government, but that said, with kids dying in schools as often as they are, I really dont understand the refusal to even entertain the conversation or come to the table.

Another American high school has been turned into a killing field. And the nation wonders why.

Well, Im going to answer that question for you. And the answer may leave you a bit unsettled.

You see - I believe there is a God -- but I also believe there is a Devil. And I see his hand at work here.

We've raised a generation to believe that truth is relative - that there is no right or wrong.

And the Devil smiled.

They kicked God out of public schools - banned Bibles and prayer.

And the Devil smiled.

We've destroyed the traditional family - broken homes raising broken kids

And the Devil smiled.

There are no consequences for bad behavior -- no personal responsibility.

And the Devil smiled.

Our movies and music and games glorify violence and gore. Relationships poisoned by pornography.

And the Devil smiled.

What happened in Parkland, Florida is about wickedness - a war with the forces of darkness - good versus evil.

Our land is wounded, her people suffering.

But we have turned our back on the One who promised to heal our Land.

The politicians and pundits would have you believe this is not about God - it's about politics and mental illness and gun control.

And the Devil smiled.
