It's bad but usually they gotta do this shit on directive from their bosses. Easier to give people orders to do heinous shit than to do it themselves.

It's kinda odd that CNN flat out refuses to name the shooter or post his pictures.... YET... they got their reporters out there grilling kids that have just been through a severe amount of trauma.

Its not pointless. Its certainly a bargaining chip in negotiations. If the prosecutor can dangle death over the offenders head he might choose to just plead to life instead. It saves the family and witnesses from enduring a long drawn out trial, it saves tax money, and it helps keep the court docket clear.

Youre right that we certainly brought over certain ideals from England. But all of those laws that we have today are encompassed within the our Constitution. Any law that Congress passes will be invalidated if it steps outside the heartland of the Constitution or is in direct contradiction of it. The Constitution, and the Supreme Courts interpretation of it, is our only protection against an overbearing government. To allow that same government to just widdle away the parts it doesnt like just makes those protections not worth the paper theyre written on.

It's a basic right as an American. I carry. You cry about guns but schools have done hardly anything to keep the kids safe. No guards. Teachers can't carry. A lot are without metal detectors.

Is that the new normal now? Schools are just expected to be filled with guards and metal detectors? Like school operates like a prison now?

Not to mention our education system barely gets the money it needs, so how are these even going to be implemented disregarding the ridiculousness of it.

Theres really not a great solution either way. Im absolutely pro-gun, and its a constitutional right to own one. It was so important you dont even have to scroll down to see it if you look up the Bill of Rights on your phone. The Founding Fathers held this right as one of the most fundamental to the nation.

The fact that its all but carved in stone, the Second Amendment isnt going anywhere. We need to look to what other alternatives there are to help prevent instances like this. Admittedly, I really dont have a great solution. But repealing an Amendment, much less one of the original 10, is never going to happen.

Theres almost as many guns as there are people, and thats just counting the firearms that are lawfully accounted for. Gun regulations at this point wouldnt stop much. The only way a gun regulation would have any impact is if there were confiscation protocols to severely diminish the number of known guns. Even then, youre only disarming the law-abiding citizens.

Yeah. They took our drink order, and didnt bring drinks. The food came out, we still didnt get drinks. I had to finally get up and hunt down a manager to ask for drinks. It took another 5-10 minutes before our drinks finally came. We, of course, never got a refill, and we waited 15-20 minutes after we ate for a check that they never brought. I, again, had to get up and hunt down a manager to get a check.

I was tempted to just walk out without paying at all. I did pay the bill, which had no discount, and I never went back again.

The employee has rights, sure, but as far as things like forcing you to come in on your day off or working over the employer always have the upper hand. Unions help level the playing field so the employees arent taken advantage of.

More employees should unionize. As someone that worked in a union job, they are awesome. The job sucked, but the union made it bearable. The employer otherwise can dick you around any way he wants. The union gives the employee some protection against abusive practices.
