Victory. Daimon is defeated. Kind of obnoxious that I'd have to go through the whole thing again just to fight his second form. The boss fight itself had some cool music even if he was a piece of cake. Not sure I have the will to keep playing. Maybe I'll watch anime, not sure which I should watch though.

So I've been playing a bit more of dragons dogma: dark arisen and I just don't really understand what people see in this. I've tried so hard to like it and this is my 3rd attempt at dragons dogma but it's just so meh. You have to go so far out of your way to not cheese things if you want to have any semblance of challenge, the enemy defense being a flat reduction is the worst (yay doing 1 damage a hit to enemies with 85,000 hp), and even then the enemies are so shallow and one dimensional.

The level up stats based on class is probably my most hated aspect. I want to level other vocations other than assassin but I feel like I can't because if I end up leveling up then I have poor stats for those levels and it's hard enough to actually do more than 1 damage a hit anyway. If I just grind to 200 then everything will just fall over even more than it already is.

The equipment system, the vocation system, the limited skill slots, the overall movement abilities, augments. All that stuff is fine. The bland world, easy and simple combat, and small things that create large annoyances really make this game just not feel like its very good.

I've got like 2 more areas in bbi before I make it to the boss but I'm just grinding now so I can actually do any damage myself instead of having to rely on sorc pawns to deal damage. In the main game I'm doing the 4 quests for ser whoever after having joined the wyrm hunt and I feel like there is no way I'm going to have the motivation to go through the rest of the main game after finishing bbi.

After catching up in Made in Abyss manga to where the anime is and watching reviews and stuff I once again will recommend watching that to anyone that hasn't yet. It's a great show.

I'm glad it's getting the acclaim it deserves. Truly an outstanding anime in virtually every category from the technical aspects being out of this world and the story aspects being handled fantastically to all the characters being perfect examples of how to do that type of character right. I still can't wait to see whats at the bottom of the abyss or how deep it really is.

Hell yeah. I love that show. It's the reason I hate kadokawa (the light novel publisher) that supposedly stopped a third season from happening because the anime was too successful and could possibly draw fans away from the LNs or something stupid like that.

The "X" is indeed supposed to be silent and it's pronounced hunter hunter which is fucking stupid IMO but whatever. However most of the time you see a standalone X in an anime title they actually pronounce that as "cross" so if hunter x hunter wasn't weird it'd probably be hunter cross hunter which IMO is even more stupid. Coulda just called the whole thing hunters.

It's probably pretty divisive. Most of the characters are awful humans beings, and the show uses that, but I could see some people just hating them too much to enjoy it. It's sort of like always sunny in philadelphia in that way. Main girl isn't JUST the dumbest person to exist, shes also completely self centered and often times cruel. Only blonde girl is normal but that's kind of just there to act as a comparison.

The first console I got was a playstation (the first one) and it did not come with a memory card. Also, I bought the system entirely with coins like a fucking asshole. My dad told me I could have the spare change I found around the house which over a year of dad coming home and emptying his pockets amounted to enough to get one. I was like 7 or something. Anyway, I got crash bandicoot 2 and ridge racer. Every day I started those games over from the beginning. I eventually beat crash and got to where I could beat ridge racer consistently (including the "black car").

A bit later I bought legend of dragoon, played for about 8 hours straight, died once, thought I'd be able to retry or go back to town automatically (pokemon was the only other rpg I had played). Nope, only option was to load a save. Finally convinced me to pester my parents enough to get me a memory card.

Sure, the mage spells are OP, but you won't have time to cast them without pawns to distract stuff away from your squishy body.

That seems like a real pain in the ass. I think I'm just gonna play normally until it gets too boring and then head to bitter black isles. Trying to keep up with all the sidequests and missables is a huge pain in the ass as well.

Finished aho girl. Every episode was hilarious but also stupid. I feel like it's a nice show to consume in small pieces. Also playing dragons dogma:dark arisen. I've played and quit regular DD a few times cause I just got bored half way through after I got skills and levels and the game became a cake walk but apparently the dark arisen stuff is harder. I made sure to start in hard mode since I already feel like the game is too easy. I might need to play solo as well since having pawns is so far making the early stuff a cake walk. Ranged is OP as hell. Going for assassin when I can change classes and I'll probably just sit in that class for the whole game (or at least until I want some other augments).

I doubt I am going to manage to find all of the apple scenes, Youkai, but I hope to try. Saving that task for another day. But you see why I love that VN, yes?

I'm pretty sure there is an extended ending if you do find all the apple scenes. I too haven't felt like going back to find em yet. It just feels like it ended so well that I don't want to ruin that.

Did my routine self torture of looking for MMOs. I really really want to play one but they all just really suck. Oh well, you've all heard me complain about it before and I got nothing new to say.

I increasingly feel like its hard to actually find multiplayer games in general that I want to play which is upsetting. It feels like they all lack depth or are completely teamwork focused. Nioh comes to steam pretty soon though so hopefully I have some fun in the co-op for that. Now if only bloodborne would get the same treatment. Also getting increasingly annoyed about not having a release date for MH:World on PC. The game releases on the other systems in 3 months and all we know is the PC release is "delayed".

Okay, got some much needed sleep and processed my thoughts on kindred spirits on the roof a little more. It is definitely an excellent piece of yuri media and on the more shoujo classy side than some stuff. And aside from nearly every girl inexplicably having no fucking clue what to do sexually, the VN was still surprisingly mature about the sexual side of things, not skipping out on too many details (although I'm pretty sure they managed to never use the word vagina and only refer to that indirectly, kind of annoying in a few instances where it came off as a little weird but mostly just fine).

While it didn't quite capture the intensity of the experience as well as scum's wish, it handled it pretty well for largely just having words especially talking about the heat.

All the characters are pretty likeable, even ones you might start off hating. This VN has a way of dragging you through shit to the point I was getting kind of pissed off but then showing you a scene so heartwarming or real that you can't help but forgive the VN for the slog to get there. Of course, I do think a few things could have been handled a bit better. This VN is very slow to make it's point but when it does, it handles everything with utmost care and a level of completeness that left me quite satisfied. It really felt like each plot thread had been wrapped up in a satisfying way.

What surprised me the most though is how much it resonated with me in the end. While I enjoyed the ride to get there, I think I enjoy it more now, the day after finishing it, than I did at the time. It's message is largely about understanding your feelings and having the courage to convey them. Some of the girls confessing are even fine with a rejection because more than anything they just wanted the person they care about to understand them, even if they don't accept them.

It's not a new concept, but I've never seen it handled like this. It's fair to say that before this VN I didn't really "get it". With how much time lesbian ghosts takes and with how thorough it is, it'd be hard to not get it after all that and I feel like this is one of those wonderful rare times that seem fewer and fewer when I can actually change a little piece of how I view the world from getting a new perspective.

It's that feeling that really made me love anime when i was getting into it. Not only was anime cool as hell, but it had all these different views and perspectives from the complex to the simple and it felt amazing to gain all these new ways to think about things. Of course, theres far fewer perspectives expressed in anime than their are anime. As you keep watching more and more you get that feeling less and less. You don't get to experience that personal growth as often. You feel like maybe theres nothing left to surprise you anymore, like maybe you have it all figured out, at least as far as anime can take you.

Kindred spirits has quite a few perspectives within it but it's the main focus that felt like it taught me something new. I'm very glad I stuck with it since it was legitimately kind of boring in the first bits. If you can handle a slow paced, sweet romance, and especially if you like yuri, I whole heartedly recommend kindred spirits. I still gotta get all bajillion apples scenes and then the scene after that though.

Finally finished kindred spirits on the roof (well the main story anyway). Was a good ending. I feel like all the relationships resolved in satisfying ways throughout. Tomorrow will be time to hunt down all the apple scenes I suppose. Probably should look up a guide and liberally use the skip previously read text feature since I feel like nearly every word of the story is still in my memory.

Good to hear that you are enjoying the game, but it is true that the girls at that school are about as unworldly as can possibly be. Then again, in real-life Japan, almost no one talks about lesbianism at all, and the social norm is to pretend that it does not exist (outside of media, perhaps).

In an all girls high school? I'm not buyin it. These girls have laptops and internet access at home. The human body at that age is flooding you with hormones and they all seem like they have never been aroused by anything ever and especially never gotten off alone to the point where they just don't understand how it could work.

I'd almost be ready to believe it's just cultural differences if stuff like scum's wish didn't exist, but stuff like that does exist and gives a far more realistic portrayal. It's just kind of off putting when a lot of the other thoughts and emotions seem to be handled realistically. Plenty of these girls even have a ton of time to look shit up between realizing they want to do something and actually attempting to do it.

Like I totally understand not having any experience and being awkward when doing it, but to actually just not know physically how? I find myself kind of missing scum's wish honest take on teenagers in highschool (ecchan best girl).

Nobody else posting making me triple post. Oh well. Just realized the school in lesbian ghosts "shirojo" could be broken into shiro (white) and jo (girl). Their school is literally called white girl. I'm so far pleasantly surprised by how everything is going. I'm half way through the festival character stories. Not super pleased about the huge cliff hanger they left the main part of the story on for this arc especially cause I'm trying my hardest to get on the ano route, if this game even has routes, but I dunno if I can turn down something too direct from hina since she is great too. Ano still best girl between them. Cat > dog.

I'm still slowly playing through lesbian ghosts. This shit is LONG, which I don't mind, just didn't quite expect. Finally starting to get to the parts where some girls actually start doing shit together. In fact, everything is going far too well, which means things are gonna fuck up cause theres still a bunch of months left. I'm assuming the game lets me choose between hina, ano, and maybe nena at some point and I'm hoping I can pick ano (not that the others are bad or anything). Also holding out some hope that I was wrong about my prediction for the ending.

Think I'm gonna watch some light hearted comedy after I finish this and try to refocus since I've gotten a bit off track lately (mostly cause of playing through the final dark souls 3 DLC). Just felt kind of out of it for a few days. Maybe a little extra depressed or something.

This is where the anime differs from the manga. I'm honestly not sure if it even is to sexualize things or just to portray the realities of having an adventure together (which will of course involve going to bathroom and cleaning yourself from time to time) but eh...I'm not so sure if that was authors intent. I think the author is a bit of a perv. Part of me is bummed anything is censored cause I hate all censorship but this anime was pretty understandable and they were quite tactful in how they handled it IMO.

To cast a little more light on why bondrewd, just from what you know in the anime, is already a fantastic character. The show is entirely about the curiosity of the human spirit and making sacrifices to proceed down the path of curiosity. Bondrewd exemplifies this to the extreme. He is, in a way, the perfect example of the things that drive our main cast, the perfect cave raider. Of course, I'm not going to spoil anything from the manga for you but he is an excellent character IMO. The mad scientist archetype has been done a lot but I think he is my favorite example of it.

Should also mention other than a little fleshing out in the beginning about some things the adaptation was very faithful outside of the balloon at the end. That didn't happen in the manga at all but it's pretty inconsequential and a lot of people really seemed to love that scene. It also plays my favorite song from the OST, Tomorrow.

Also funny trivia about the bath scene in the last episode. Apparently the mangaka was mad because they didn't make riko's nipples puffy enough. If you see that same scene in the manga, the camera takes a different, more revealing angle. I was surprised they put that scene in at all to be honest.

Well dreams aren't entirely unconscious, you just don't usually remember them. I do feel you on that though, sucks to lose so much time to sleep. I'm usually awake 18-20 hours straight and then sleep for 7-8 hours and trying to deviate from that causes major problems (plus it doesn't matter if I lie in bed for 10 hours, I'm not falling asleep until I'm actually tired, the only way I can be on a 24 hour schedule is to regularly only sleep like 3-4 hours a night, just like I did for years and years going to school, which made me tired and borderline a zombie for all those years. Complete misery.).

I do certainly have some level of attention disorder. Got diagnosed with adhd when I was kid and then undiagnosed with that by a different doctor, and then redianosed with it by a third doctor and this went on for a while because doctors have been nothing but useless and incompetent in my many many dealings with them (which is probably just bad luck, but it wears on you)..

It sounds awfully convenient but if I'm not actively enjoying something, I really just can't focus on it at all most of the time. It is somewhat inconsistent though. I have days where I can focus on anything but it always has a rebounding effect. The more I try to force myself the more mentally exhausted I get and it can take only 10 or so minutes until I'm completely out of mental energy doing this.

Reading books is of course the least of my worries (working being the biggest issue as it's rather impossible, especially combined with my non 24 sleep disorder that makes it quite impossible to maintain any kind of sleep schedule without leaving me totally fucked like I was in school all those years before I finally was old enough to drop out.).

I feel kinda bad about books/manga. Like it's not worth it to me to read them, but I still want the stories, just preferably over the course of like an hour instead of multiple days, so theres just no solution. I also just really enjoy the positives of video with the extra nuance and expressiveness that can be added that text just can't do alone. I know manga does have the pictures but it doesn't have the sound that, for me personally, is vital.

It's not my fault reading can't hold my attention. I really wish it could. Manga clearly has the wider selection and usually the more consistent quality.

Generally though I prefer the most concentrated experience possible. Tightly paced anime marathoned from start to finish. That is my ideal way to consume a story. My "own pace" is a lot faster than I can read.

Ugh I can still remember back to school when I'd have to read books. Just rereading the same sentence over and over trying desperately to actually pay attention to what it read. I have trouble focusing if it wasn't evident.

Aha! Hina has reminded me of someone this whole time and I couldn't remember. Her personality is almost exactly the same as main guy from gundam iron blooded orphans. Not the guy in charge but the one that pilots the main gundam. I know the character type isn't unique but they really respond and act exactly the same minus hina's gluttony.

Dang, lesbian ghosts is an endless gauntlet of yuri. It's also very slow starting which I guess I'm ok with. Just hit july, kinda wanna kill the teacher, the student that likes her is awesome and I just feel bad for her so far. I almost instantly predicted everything that's happened with the trio and I'm pretty impressed with myself for that. The rocker girl is pretty funny, I like her a lot too. The ghosts are kinda annoying, their reason for still being around is flimsy at best, and I'm pretty sure I see drama coming from the ending a mile away. Kinda wish they just weren't part of the story and yuna had some other reason to go around getting all the girls to hook up.

O well, still like 2/3rds of the months to go so that could all change. The last line in the last main part in june really worries me. I'm afraid I can guess how it's gonna end and I'm not gonna be happy with that at all. If sachi is just trying to get megumi to pass on to respect her feelings for her and her death I'm gonna be pissed, but that makes the most sense. Clearly sachi had a strong enough attachment to keep haunting the school for 50 years before megumi died so it seems unlikely that she just instantly fell for megumi and got over her old issues. I really hope I'm wrong here.

Most bullets travel at around Mach 2 -3. Koro-sensei's supposed top speed is Mach 20 (I say supposed since if you calculate his later feats he easily surpasses Mach 35). Plus, it was shown that he can smell humans and metals from around a kilometer away. At that distance, he can definitely hear the bullet before it reaches him.

This is not how sound works. If the bullet is going faster than sound than it literally doesn't matter how fast korosensei can move. There is no sound for him to hear because it hasn't gotten there yet. Same with the smell and if his smell detection range is really only 1 km than it'd be relatively easy to snipe him since shots have been made from over 1.5 miles away.

Avoiding lasers would require some sort of sense that we can't comprehend since they move at the speed of light and thus are literally impossible to see coming.

Anyway I've only seen like 2 eps of the anime right after it aired but I dropped it. Wasn't really enjoying it. I assume for whatever reason, korosensei wants to die and that's why he threatens earth. That or he is preparing us for some bigger threat. Or he caught a GTO broadcast on his way to destroy earth and wanted to reenact it before destroying us. That would be pretty awesome.

How the hell you gonna hear the sniper rifle? Those bullets are super sonic, aka they travel faster than sound. Smell can be entirely controlled by firing from a sealed artificial vacuum since smell needs air to travel.

Heck they could probably kill him with some kind of laser which would obviously move at the speed of light and thus be completely undetectable until it hits you. It's one of those premises that you can't really think too hard about. Also I'm pretty sure fucking up the moon as much as he did would ruin life on earth, at least as we know it. It has a pretty dramatic effect on tides.

I feel you on the vanilla taste in hentai. I assume hentai does this just to compete with actual porn but it's got some pretty twisted fetishy stuff. I wish they would just focus on making the context for the sex good and leave the sex itself fairly standard. Sucks to be watching something good and then BOOM dark magic, 50 year old fat tokyo businessmen (probably with masks), and fuckin tentacles.

Oh, something else that pisses me off to end isn't really hentai's fault, but rather everywhere that has it. The yuri label. People are not using this shit correctly. Just because a scene has two girls in at for 5 seconds does not mean it's yuri dammit. A threesome is NOT yuri. Stop it labeling people. Skimmed through so many shit hentai looking for the supposed yuri scene just to find out there isn't one. It's also a complete bummer how few yuri hentai there actually are. The only good one is shoujo sect. Every time a yuri hentai is starting to be good it feels like the director goes "it's just girls, the audience will lose interest. Quick!
