My parents made good choices and are well invested. Dad has a pension and a 401K that will net him 100k per year after retirement without drawing on principal. People in his industry are often paid a premium above market rate in addition to the pension to come out of retirement.

just consider that one significant health care issue, like cancer, can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, or more. their entire retirement, and your inheritance, can vanish in a short time if something goes wrong. health care costs is the #1 factor leading to bankruptcies in this country and i only expect it to worsen if these social safety nets are stripped away.

i fully admit that i am speculating here and there's no actual evidence that this will happen. but either the GOP leaves a 1.5 trillion dollar hole in the deficit, or they cut these programs. either way, i fear the long term effect of these tax cuts.

He wouldn't accept an inheritance anyway. I mean, it isn't like HE worked for any of that income. That is just an evil redistribution of wealth. And not like he needs the money anyway. If he is poor, well then, that is due to his own poor life choices and he should have bootstrapped himself up instead of hoping for handouts.

Pyro starts at lvl 1, so easier to not have "wasted" stats. Plus it has decent starting equipment, so doesn't hurt as much when you have to switch to melee early on.

After getting to firelink shrine, the first sorcery NPC is a little tricky to find. keep going down the stairs until you get to an elevator. Ride the elevator down. There is another set of stairs right next to a huge lake. NPC is behind bars where the stairs dead end

Don't fully deplete your stamina. It takes longer to regenerate if it empties completely.
Since blocking won't do any good against him, try holding it with both hands.
If you are fat rolling, unequip armor until you at least mid-roll. Fast roll you kind of hop first, fat roll is flopping on the floor.

Yeah, traditionally, dialogue is center channel only. They will sometimes use the surrounds if somebody is speaking off camera. Working at a theatre, it grinds my gears when an "audio expert" comes out and complains that the dialogue is only coming from the screen, because on their awesome home set-up, all the speakers pump out sound when people are talking.

I have mixed feelings on the subject. On one hand, I would love to see him in a prison like Arpaio's where he is treated like a minority. I do like the feeling of incremental improvement of my characters. More of that positive feedback of getting stronger more frequently, yes please. Say after 20 encounters, I level up automatically for a fair boost, I much prefer to get a smaller boost every 5 levels, even if the end result is the same.

Part of the reason I enjoyed leveling Blue Mage so much in FFXI. Finally learning that new spell was the same feeling of getting that rare item drop, the potential for being just a wee bit stronger.

I understand that there's a broader context about refusing service. Government forcing universal service should be the exception for critical services with few alternatives. The general rule ought to be you can refuse to do business with anyone for any reason or no reason. When it comes to something as simple and common as a bakery, refusing customers out of bigotry is just bad business. You lose those customers, give yourself a bunch of bad press, and free good press to every other bakery that capitalizes on that opportunity. Same goes for most products and services. Using the courts to force service from someone who doesn't want to provide it is a quick recipe for terrible service.

Then you become a club and incorporate that way. If your doors are open to the public, you treat everybody as the same.

Green specializes in using creature spells rather than spells for control, healing, etc. Green tends to focus on getting a lot of creatures out in a short amount of time to quickly overwhelm your opponent.

Favorite green card was Reincarnation back in the day. Pissed off my buddies when I could get an elder dragon out in the 3rd/4th turn. But I stopped playing back when fallen empires came out. The few times I've looked at it since, I just don't get it anymore.
