It's hard to know exactly what was going on in her head when she said that.

My interpretation when I saw it yesterday was her implying that immigrants are more likely to commit rape and essentially calling the Democrats' bluff (i.e. "Let's see if you really want these immigrants when they can rape with impunity.").

Atifar's is probably more likely though. That at least wouldn't be as awful as the above, but that's not saying much.

Same. It actually does some things better than Prime 1, like the bosses, but the dark world is a tad annoying at the beginning (before the Dark and Light suits). It also sucks that you can't do the key hunt until the end (unlike in Prime 1 where you can start it relatively early on).

Any version of Prime after the initial NA pressing screws over sequence breaks hard. Even if you do manage to get past the "fixes" that attempt to make the tricky jumps impossible, you'll find that doors are hard-locked, or there's an invisible wall, until you're supposed to do whatever you're attempting.

Yeah, I have the PAL version, unfortunately. Even then, it's still way more open than Fusion. There are ways around some of the changes; things are just more difficult (e.g. the initial scan-dash to get the Space Jump). It does suck though.

The thing with Fusion is that it doesn't just nudge you in the right direction, but it actively does pretty much everything in its power to stop you going out of sequence. Areas are artificially blocked off (as in, you can't get through even with the right power-up). Many crucial power-ups must be "downloaded" and the downloads are adjusted behind the scenes if you somehow get a power-up you're not supposed to.

I still love the game, but the original, Super, Zero Mission and Prime are undeniably more open at the very least. Not all the sequence breaks are intentional of course, but they're there, and when you do pull them off, the games generally roll with it. Not so in Fusion.

Great game, but I do prefer the traditional Metroids for the most part. I appreciate that it does something a bit different with the horror elements / the SA-X. Samus' dialogue is actually tolerable; it gives her a bit of personality without being totally cringe worthy.

I'm not refuting the truthfulness of it. I'm illustrating that the author's intent was pretty clear from the first sentence.

The 1901 Dorlands Medical Dictionary defined heterosexuality as an abnormal or perverted appetite toward the opposite sex. More than two decades later, in 1923, Merriam Websters dictionary similarly defined it as morbid sexual passion for one of the opposite sex. It wasnt until 1934 that heterosexuality was graced with the meaning were familiar with today: manifestation of sexual passion for one of the opposite sex; normal sexuality.

I don't see what the issue is. The intent is pretty clear, but it's nothing particularly alarming. Just surprising.

If that is indeed true, so what? Should they lie and say that wasn't the definition? If they want to illustrate how the definition changed over the years, then that would be as good a place as any to start.

I personally think so. The graphics and music are timelessly beautiful. The battles are not really anything special now, but were fairly well done at the time. The story is simple but effective. It doesn't take too long to get going but holds enough back to keep you interested.

It was ahead of its time (no pun intended :P) in some regards with no random battles and the way it handled multiple endings, time travel and other aspects. The lack of random battles goes both ways: you can control when a battle is triggered, but many enemies are placed in such a way that they can't be avoided.

Came in to say The End from MGS3, for several reasons:

- Not knowing where he is and therefore when you're straying into his sights (which makes the fight rather intense);
- The variety of strategies that you can employ to beat him;
- The neat tricks that can be used to skip him altogether (as well as the other Easter eggs and secrets);
- The way that the game continues even when you lose (I won't say more than that for fear of spoilers);
- The large, atmospheric area that the boss fight takes place in.

The 'shithole' part is completely unbecoming of the president, but it's the wider context of what he said that is the issue (the former is merely a distraction). It's the fact that people from these 'shithole' countries need to justify themselves in ways that other people don't. "Why are those people coming over here?" Even in the slim possibility that this isn't his intention, it plays right into the hands of the more unsavory elements in the country.
