I've always preferred Xenosaga personally, even though those games are a big mess as well. the only one thats really a big mess is the second one episode 1 and 3 are solid. i just view them as one long game with a bad middle part --- yusketeer |

| yusiko 02/12/18 2:50:25 PM #29 | ff8 is fine it goes off the rails at its third disk though and never recovers but its first 2 disks are solid. i mean disk 2 has the stupid plot twist everyone hates and remembers most about the game but you dont have time to process how bad it is until disk 3 because immediately after the twist the garden battle starts and that is one of the best parts of the game --- yusketeer |

| yusiko 02/11/18 12:54:17 PM #8 | love evil dead. i usually dont like male heroes in horror movies but ash is one of the few i love oddly enough he still has all the issues that bothers me about final guys in horror movies but they dont bother me when they come from ash. normally when they make a horror movie have a final guy they are afraid to make him terrified and instead treat them like they are an action movie star with witty one liners and bravado so you never really feel scared for them. ash is exactly like that but the difference is he doesnt start out that way he grows into it. in fact in the first movie he is like the most terrified character. i also love kelly and pablo --- yusketeer |

It was okay. except that it wasnt really co-op you couldnt play online with other people you controlled both characters by yourself and they played differently as well with claire and barry being the ones you use to fight the monsters and bosses, and moira and natalia being the ones you use to explore the areas and find stuff. moira being annoying is subjective i for one liked her overall. the biggest contradiction with claire was the natalia scene where moira calls her out for not being good with kids where as claire's key character trait is she is good with kids and protective of them. but the line "guns are more reliable than any person" is actually something steve told her in code veronica so its clear the events of that game had more of an affect on her than we thought. you dont really do many levels twice and you go down different paths when you do so that never bothered me. especially since i remember the game folkore which has you literally repeating levels once as ellen and then once as keats with the same bosses and everything. i really liked the claire parts of revelations 2 i found the barry portion boring. which wouldnt be too much of a problem had it been an even split between claire and barry throughout the whole game. the first 3 chapters it was an even split with about an hour of claire and an hour of barry but he final chapter its 10 minutes of claire and 2 hours of barry and that hurt the climax of the story --- yusketeer |
