As for 02, it was pretty lame that their gimmick for the season, Armor Evolution, was pretty much dumped once the kids got their natural Champion forms.

yoshino actually got to contribute to some fights and even win some major ones not just against the girl bad guys.

zoe's only win in the entire series was against the only other female character in season 4.

the season 2 champion forms were lame

She was generally the odd (wo)man out of the group. The other five's lives touched on each others', and they interacted with and influenced them.

Phoebe was just... there. She was a character who'd provide short laugh bites a plethora of times, but in the end, was just someone whose sphere didn't interact that much with the other five and pretty much did her own thing most of the time. Resulted in a character who one would think was absolutely hilarious when one was young, but when looking back years later, turns out to be surprisingly shallow, uninteresting, and unmemorable.

She probably could have been written out of the show and there wouldn't be any huge problems in the overarching plot, whereas all the other five would have opened up giant gaping plotholes or story changes if you just got rid of their roles.

actually the show touched on this twice

the first time

after the wedding rachel feels she is getting phased out of the group and says she always knew this would happen to one of them eventually she just always though it would be pheobe cause she doesnt have the long history like rachel chandler ross and monica have, and she lives far away where as joey lives in the same apartment building.

and the second time

pheobe is actually happy she tells ross because everyone else has these connections with each other that goes way back and now her and ross have one too since when they were teenagers she mugged him

id like to point out that i just remembered that yoshino (dont know her dub name) from season 5 also lost her debut fight. but i forgot about that because unlike zoe, yoshino actually became competent

i liked season 2 TBH
season 1 will always be my favorite though
it always bugged me in season 1 that only matt and tai had their digimon reach mega level.
im glad the psp game that lets you play through season 1 as an rpg fixed that.

i have no strong feelings about davis one way or the other.
but fun little fact about my favorite game xenosaga, the character of chaos has 2 voice actors throughout the series.

in episode 1 he is voiced by the man who voiced ken in season 2
and in episode 2 and 3 he is voiced by the man who voiced tai in season 1.

I mean, there was still lighthearted stuff in X. I don't get why X-2 couldn't have been still semi-serious with more light stuff. It didn't need to go completely in the direction it did.

the thing is that X-2 actually does still have some heavier stuff in it especially when the main threat is revealed.
its not too much but its just enough that the game isnt complete light hearted fluff.
the 1000 word scene works so well because the tragedy behind it and the horrible events that are happening because of it.

yeah pretty much, leblanc just wanted attention and pretending to be the high summoner yuna was the perfect way to get it and have some fun.

leblanc is not a serious villain which is why when things actually get serious she starts helping out because she isnt really a bad guy

why does the change in tone bother you?
its a natural progression. the first game had a dark tone because they lived in a dark world.
the second game has a light tone because for the first time in 1000 years the people of spira dont live in fear of sin and can finally have fun.

Bersker lady is a push over just don't push the damage past 10% increments without making sure everyone is at least at 2/3rds health. With shions aoe heal it's a lot easier. Though momo was truly queen of the second game.

shion, ziggy and chaos all got ripped off in episode 2
their attacks all do elemental damage so they are only good against certain enemies

shion is great against machines (probably why orgulla was so easy with her solo)
ziggy is great against human/animals enemies
chaos is great against gnosis (which are barely in episode 2)

but they barely hurt anything else.
and yeah MOMO was great in episode 2 provided you had jin or KOSMOS knock the enemy into the air or onto the ground then MOMO would deal obscene amounts of damage.

i loved yuna's default costume (which was the gunner for her)
but im not a big fan of rikku's or paine's default outfits (thief and warrior)

though i dont think any of them look good in the thief dress sphere. yuna has the best thief outfit but her weird thief battle stance is ridiculous. rikku looks best in the lady luck job
paine looks best in the trainer job
and yuna looks best in the gun mage job

the game is easy but then again so was ffX
the job system was fun. overall it was an enjoyable experience

i like the ones with a prize for winning or an alternate scene.
like in phantasy star 2

nei has to fight the boss neifirst solo and lose. then the rest of the party takes over the fight and nei dies from her injuries. but if you manage to win the fight as nei you get an alternate cutscene to explain how nei still ends up dying

yep. the show ignores the first movie so they introduced him early on in season 3 in the storyline where the power rangers get their ninja powers which they got in the movie.

he brought zedd and rita a wedding present. the tenga warriors which replaced the putties

In terms of modern day SJWs that's pretty rare.

The part where she went from uncontrollable to OP when she got glasses was simultaneously neat and then kind of dumb. And overall, I just kept thinking that that the show itself had no real reason why it was animated rather than live action. Dull, too.

i never found it dumb, she had poor eyesight which was why her eye based fire powers didnt work right
glasses made her awesome.

and like i said it was only dull for like the first 8 out of 12 episodes
the last stretch of the series was really exciting

remember in charmed when a demon infected everyone with the 7 deadly sins and only a selfless act could break the spell but they had to remove the sin of pride from prue in a different way and at the end of the episode she wondered why everyone else was cured by doing one selfless act while she did multiple selfless acts in one day including trying to kill herself to save the world.

and it was pointed out that none of her acts were really selfless because all she did was for the greater glory of prue! making pride the one sin that cant be beat
