You can also hatch an egg into anything, or transmute a Pokemon into a different one. I also saw people talking about modifying the roaming Pokemon.

Wild encounters can surely be done, it's just a question of whether anyone wants to do that over any other methods.

I don't really have any motivation to play GS on 3DS since they're not compatible with Stadium 2 like my cartridges are. That was the best endgame and gave you actual reason for training Pokemon.

I'll still play through one to get easy access to Pokemon to transfer to gen 7. But I'm not in any rush to start that.

Physical board game or video game, it doesn't matter.

The 5 resources are apples, cherries, oranges, peaches, and pears. Spaces are depicted as fruit trees.
Settlements are houses, cities are 2-story houses. Roads are... dirt paths through the grass?
The robber can be Crazy Redd or some other event that prevents fruit from growing. If it's a video game, they can have animations with Tom Nook when you trade fruit for other fruit or something.

That's it. It's just Catan with an AC skin. Someone get Nintendo to make this happen.
