One of my New Years resolutions is to beat more games.

I thought my first game of 2018 would be Nier: Automata, but I got the $1 Xbox GamePass and ended up installingand beating in one tryThis War of Mine.

I played it before on PC AND PS3, and struggled repeatedly on both systems.

I dunno if they made it easier, but after a certain point I was completely self-sufficient. So much so that the anxiety and depression mechanics could be bruteforced with good meals, pep talks, and sleep.

My greatest disappointment with this year's deliberations is that nobody pointed out how Breath of the Wild completely destroys that Fallout 4 argument.

The whole argument was that you can't have an open world game that complex without a huge number of bugs. Then Breath of the Wild comes out and not only is that but also adds advanced physics, and is virtually bug-free. Bethesda has no excuse.

Its a completely different kind of game.

I rewatched Dredd last night, and that movie is so so so good.

Why hasn't there been a game based on it yet?

Imagine if Starbreeze did it.

It has so many neat elements: cybernetics, mutants, super distinct gangs, cool technology.

It's basically Shadowrun without deckers, spirituality, and different races. Which could work to its advantage because it could focus on the meatspace stuff.

I vaguely remember the OG xbox shooter, but it wasn't anything special.
