I still have my other problem

so this weird bump started growing on my back. I actually had someone try popping it but nothing came out of it

it eventually got infected. and it started spreading. it first started on my shoulder blade but now its almost to the middle of my back

the infection is what got me that fever.

whats weird is my back has "hardened". If you poke it, it...well, feels hard

on a good day, when its not in pain, it feels "heavy"
like I'm carrying something taped to my back

the same doctor also didn't really have much to say about that thing

"It should eventually drain"

Anything over 104 is life threatening, yes. Can cause brain damage and requires an urgent care visit. Drink a lot of fluids and make sure to take Tylenol and whatever the doctors prescribe. Don't overdose or you'll have new problems.

Yeah, that could just be a weird cyst or something. But I don't trust this guy and hard lumps, especially those that roam, would still make me consider a basic check for cancer. Doubtful you'd have it due to age but it should be a basic check to be sure. A check from an actual doctor this time.

now i haven't been to medical school but i would hope this is something they hammer into texas doctors pretty early, particularly doctors who will be interacting with patients regularly

Id get that back checked out by another doctor who might even send you to a specialist depending on what it is. Theres always a chance that thing wont drain and depending on what it is it might even grow several times in size and be an even bigger pain in the ass. Better safe than sorry
