I mean like, I guess if they were just gifted a confession good on them for trying to loophole a way into making it stick

The official interrogation should've probably stopped at that point though just cause like, you're not getting anything valuable out of it anyway. But if the story is that they called the lawyer, and the lawyer dog was on his way, and then the guy had loose lips and just kept going, then yeah, more power to em.

Basically you'd need to know exactly how the whole interrogation went down to know if it was a stupid gambit or capitalizing on a windfall or not. No real issues with the second. The first is the one I'd have an issue with.

That being said I still think it's immensely ridiculous to naturally assume it's a race thing when you're dealing with a rape case.

Police need to do things the right way--and then confessions won't be thrown out. Because then the confessions will be legitimate, and there won't be any doubt that a suspect was coerced into confessing

That's pretty much why I think it was stupid, yeah.

Like ideally, SEP would be right and if you know how to trick a dead to rights suspect (note, I do not know if this guy was dead to rights) into waiving his right to a lawyer that just streamlines the process a whole bunch

But you gotta trick it with something better than this, for sure. This is probably just gonna complicate it more than it should be if they'd gone about it the normal way.

My main issue is that people assume race is the driving force when you've got a guy who confessed to raping a minor I mean wow.

To be fair I do think it was reckless of them to do that

But I just think it's kinda hilarious that the natural reaction is OMG RACISM over "they really really wanted to get a rapist dead to rights before the lawyers stepped in"

Like I gotta wonder at what point do people not naturally gravitate towards the racism element. Like say you had... I don't know... a black guy who blew up a building full of school children, and a cop in a moment of passion shoots him in the head as he's clearly surrendering.

Do we say "wow that cop was so racist he couldn't restrain himself from shooting a black man?" then?

Really if we're being honest about limits

Someone like me who has played every game but XI and XV, including a bunch of spinoffs, should probably get more than someone like you who is still missing like FFIV, for example.

That's why I think flat 100 for everyone would be the funniest personally. Just up elimination speeds if you really want it to go faster.

I was able to get to 132 characters by taking every character I had any remotely positive reaction at all for from the series off the top of my head

Not sure which list is more unique, cutting off 82 or cutting off 32.

Course there are probably some snubs too if I took a little more time.

I would have to try to even make a top 100 list to know how grim it'd get towards the end, but I feel like a top 50 list would almost remove the point. Not enough personality there.

Though yes it shouldn't go against the every contest club and if stats were made they should probably be isolated as well-- like if my list was X-Death + 99 ultimate jobber fodders I could really skew his stats in a positive way by doing that.

Upping 4* rates is the way to go. 5* rates are very risky because yeah, you're gonna hamstring whale spending because they'll pull what they want sooner.

Honestly that kinda sounds like a fun spinoff to SMFFFC, or a way to change it up over time if people got tired of the formula

Every contest, a different regular participant makes a list of their top 100 FF characters. A champion is chosen from that list of 100.

In some ways, that would be a more true representation of the title.

Ah. So you're saying profits went up after they made it more generous, since I didn't recall Fate/Grand Order being hyped by Sony last year-- unless of course the international release added a ton.

Still, I bet you could increase profits again by making it ever so slightly better. Like I said I think the 10 draws just being a hair better would make a huge difference. Like I could see myself paying for draws on banners with good 4* focuses if they made those better. Only real concern I feel would be overshooting, but hell the fix I suggested wouldn't even make it easier for people to get 5*s by a significant amount so I feel like it probably wouldn't be

Also, FGO is responsible to giving Sony one of their highest profits in the company history. So, uh, don't hold your breath for massive improvements to the gacha =(

This probably is part of the mindset when it comes to these types of games, but the mindset isn't necessarily solid.

Like unless you're the most profitable game of this genre, then it's not a necessarily given that the gacha is in the place it needs to be. I do think there's a balance to attain that's somewhere more generous than this one. This game probably loses a lot of business from the salmon or dolphins like me. Like there is literally 0 chance I will spend a cent on this game except on some manner of promotional draw-- like the New Years one I may bother. But I have spent quite a lot on other gacha type games-- not like 5 figure whale status but enough that if you lose everyone like me it will make a difference.

That being said I completely get why you'd be conservative with altering it while profits are still good because if you change it and profits go down well there's no going back.

I've already explained a good reason for Cyclo to hide behind an alt that would not directly be related to disliking scarlet btw

For the record my guesses were Cyclo, Brohan, and Tera. Probably in that order. Not sure if any of those people are gauntleters.

The other point I bring to it is I would expect a loose mercs tie due to trdl23 being one of their targets as I don't recall trdl23 (unless of course he's a gauntlet guy, then this angle doesn't really have much weight) having a huge footprint elsewhere and I feel like he's also a guy slycooper69 tends to harass, beyond just being in that poll. Cyclo also hid behind an alt to troll GANON in that thing so yeah, it's definitely a thing he's done in the past.

I think a lot of people don't like it mostly because political statements shouldn't be introduced into a game like that, and don't actually care what the dudes are kneeling about.

And I actually agree with those people.

But I think we've already halfway crossed that bridge by playing it so often at sporting events to begin with.

International games are the only time I see it as something that makes sense.

Championship games like the Superbowl or World Series, sure, why not, if you really want to, just to bring an extra level of hype to the game.

Anything more is excessive to me. If the end result of the kneeling crap is to just stop playing the anthem I would be happy.

In game dragon veins are basically like... if you end your turn near the vein, you can do some strong effect to a specific part of the field. I believe in cutscene it tends to be pretty fast sort of a hand waving gesture and crap happens, but don't quote me on this.

Basically I just take it like... she can cast this spell pretty much at will if she's near the Vein. Like, probably a good bit faster than normally casting the spell. Not like, literally instant, but no incantations or whatever needed either.

A few people are terrible in that regard though, and they tend to corrupt places they frequent. Politics topic is one of the main congregation grounds, but there are a few others that are generally bad too. Read a bit of the Hearthstone topic and you'll see it's not just politics with problems.

But yeah, still, overall the answer is no. Feel it's been getting worse the past few years though.

So yeah actually, I'm leaning team Corrin now. I think the Zombies will provide enough of a distraction for her to drop a bunch of meteos down. The zombie guts should make the zombies as an offensive force not really great (I do think Zombies would go after Gears though-- they have enough humanoid characteristics. Frankly Corrin is probably taking the least aggression from them cause she's a dragon), but buying her time is good.

Thing is I don't really have enough of an idea of how good Ramlethal and Edelfelt actually are. Haven't played enough Xrd to have a good grasp on it. I'm leaning that Ramlethal is pretty good and Edelfelt isn't quite as much. Maybe they can just tank Meteo and wreck the dragonform Corrin quickly I don't know.

Geese btw

I think Corrin would be pretty strong normally as I think the Dragon Vein is actually pretty strong-- lets her basically spam Meteo all day with no notable cast time, but Geese's team can close the distance too quickly.

Also I think how KoF works is when the Tank appears in the fight, he punches a tree at the enemy team (so whoever his opponent is).

If you just wanna win Honoka + Jonathan/Charlotte seems best for breeding. X-Treme Tag Team + J&C Honoka Hybrid + Winchester seems hard to beat. Also I kinda think J&C with the greater params of Honoka with the techs of all enemy mercs would be pretty awesome. Using a bunch of physical techs is kinda Jonathan's schtick to begin with.

But I guess that's probably 6 as Zeeks said.

So I don't know. I kinda think that Honoka + Yuzu is good because you get X-Treme Tag Team if nothing else, but J&C + Yuzu seems like the stronger fighter.

Alternatively Machamp + Brad. No guarding Machamp with Triple Strength seems p good.
