And he did, and they did.

But he didn't realize that it wasn't REALLY about the Anthem for a lot of them. Ironically that was just the PC way to say what they really felt.

What's interesting to me is that Trump has come out and said that he's totally fine with what the Cowboys did; kneeling together in protest before the Anthem, then standing for the Anthem itself.

But so many others still hate them for doing it.

I think it shows that, for those people, it's a racial issue that goes deeper than Trump worship. He basically tapped into it by accident. You can take Moore beating Strange as another example.
