I think both have their strong points. I wish they could've blended the two together cuz on one hand Bryan Drummond is the superior Vegeta, and I liked Piccolo's voice a lot in the Ocean dub.

The amount of backlash from bitter edgelords who enjoyed Gen 1 and 2 but hate it as an adult is disgusting. I feel like most of the sentiment is because a lot of them tie the games to being a kid, and deep down are mad at themselves for growing up and miss that time of their life. So they take it out on Pokemon because they got left behind by the series and really difficult to reconnect with it when there's 600 new creatures for you to figure out. So they just get frustrated and express it as POKMON IS STUPID NOW. THEY SHOULD'VE STOPPED MAKING THEM WHEN I STOPPED PLAYING THEM.

She was half-black in the comics and based on the girlfriend of one of the writers at the time.

The real offense is that there's no continuity whatsoever in her personality. (And that she's flat chested.)

That's actually disputed since one of the creators (can't remember if it was Laird or Eastman) stated that the character was always portrayed as white, but the other one, like you said, says he envisioned her original version as being based on his half black girlfriend. So it's kind of up in the air.

Regardless, doesn't really matter since the designs of all them, April included, are pretty horrendous.

2003 TMNT was the pinnacle of the franchise. Nothing will ever top it. But I still stay open minded about new iterations because almost all of them being some good things to the table, even the new live action movies which I surprisingly enjoyed.

That all said, this is legitimately one of the ugliest, shittiest art styles I've ever seen in all of cartoondom. Whoever said it looks like something from DeviantArt was spot on, since it literally looks like it was drawn by a 16 year old for their TMNT fanfic.

I'm hit quickly, the topic itself is still up despite being marked.

In this case specifically, I don't have any negative modding reputation that I know of, and the other person had someone else respond to that troll post with "shut the fuck up already" so I assumed they're notorious on that board.
The topic was me asking for spoiler-free insight on how long the post game is in Pokemon USUM and said troll responded with a super hostile tone in the second reply. After i asked why he was being defensive and tried to clear it up, he posted that dopey-ass response.

As of this morning, it's still up. So we'll see, lol.

It's not and shouldn't be just about what endangers others and themselves. We have gradations of autism that can be very debilitating. It's not just "weird" behavioral quirks.

In the case of my daughter, her social and verbal skills are significantly stunted. She's four and she can't have a conversation with us or other people. Her speech skills are limited to very basic exclamations or requests like "I want a snack". And that took quite a bit of ABA therapy to accomplish, before that she was only able to speak gibberish and the extent of her communication was to kind of push or pull us toward whatever she wanted. Even the little verbal communication we can get from her often takes some (or a lot) of specific prompting.

She has some vocabulary these days and can identify things, letters, numbers, and some people she knows, but she can't put those together to convey her thoughts, whatever they are.

We also have some relevant concerns about her ability to take care of herself in the short and long term. My adult fear is that she will have to live with my wife and me and we will have to take care of her until we die. And then who knows who will have to take care of her after that.
