I had a cat I shared with a couple in NYC named Felix, because us artists are so creative.

We got him 9/2/12 from a crazy Coney Island cat lady who claimed she was a vet, but I'm not so sure just because she had needles. She had dozen of cats -- a dozen or two caged in her kitchen, another two or three dozen roaming free in her basement with a few dogs -- and we found our sweet ole' Russian Blue Hair there. She injected some shots and gave us a "birth certificate" that said something like "Meemee's litter came to us three days old on March 15th, 2013"...so his birthday was 3/12/13...which means our cat was from six months into the future.

We nicknamed him Future Felix and immediately felt better about our creative naming skills.

So anyway, the deal when we got this cat was this was our cat until we roomies split ways, and then Felix would be their cat. We moved apart in 2015 so I lost my furry friend, and then in 2016 my roommates moved too -- we all returned to Tennessee but in different cities. Felix made the move with them.

Well they had a baby last year and just two days ago Felix attacked the baby, so they decided right away Felix had to go. I can't have pets where I live, and the friends I thought might have kept him as a house cat weren't interested...thinhs were looking grim.

They decided to take Felix to a no-kill shelter that day and we all thought that was that. The drop-off was made and everything.

I called my dad to tell him the news, and this man who's been swearing against having any more cats suddenly offered to take Felix in. Whaaaaaaaat. I've even asked Dad about this in the past before and he said no, so I didn't bother to ask this time -- he just offered.

So the shelter gave us Felix back and now he's with my parents!

He'll have to become an outside cat, so that has its pros and cons...but Felix gets to stay within the family of our original NYC trio and we're all really pleased.

I'm not interested in painting a broad picture of powerful Jewish men. I wanna be mindful of that stereotype when I say I've had a hard time explaining to people that most of the jobs I've had in NYC across industries were run by Jewish men -- even when explaining that in NYC.

Part of that's probably because of my southern accent.

Even still, my point is I hear ya ExTha but also if your band starts covering 4:44's second track then maybe take a step back.

I'm also not sure what part of the shutdown is supposed to be the Democrats' fault up until this point.

CHIP: Republicans let that deadline pass despite being called out on it for months, and I saw it argued on Shareblue (cautious to say this as fact) they let it slide so they can weaponize CHIP against Democrats like so. Pretty much everybody wanted this.

DACA: Dreamers were fine until Donald ended their luck with a six-month notice in September. Lots of people wanted this.

The wall: Donald campaigned FROM DAY ONE he would make Mexico pay for this. This is not to be America's debt to pay by his own first words. This is not what people wanted when they dressed themselves like bricks and chanted BUILD THAT WALL.

Presidential guidance: McConnell's called Donald out on not being clear on what he wanted. I understand Donald turned down a bipartisan bill too to get us to this point, is that right? If so, I mean.....

Republican control: President, House, Congress.

It's just silly.

Positive or negative, I'd be interested in any articles or links ya'll liked from the past year regarding Christianity and the Trump Administration.

It's been interesting to see how strongly Evangelicals broke for Donald in 2016 at the last minutes and to see him pander a lot to Evangelicals ever since...as well as the contrast with how Evangelicals have dropped their Trump-support more than any other key demographic of his since then. It makes sense -- and is probably best symbolized by tomorrow's Make America Hormy Again event Stormy's leading -- but still, anything thoughtful you liked would be appreciated.

Gorka, whose exact role in the White House while serving as a deputy assistant to the president was never entirely clear, apparently is in trouble with the law over a charge of "firearm or ammunition abuse." The warrant, first reported in Hungarian online outlet 444, was issued on Sept. 17, 2016, prior to Trump's election.

That means that during the entire seven months Gorka spent in the White House, including when meeting with Hungarian Foreign Minister Pter Szijjrt in Washington last March, an arrest warrant was pending overseas.

I've just been cast again in one play festival that will almost certainly cast her too due to the low turn-out at auditions this year. She is not in that play I'm in, but I'll be seeing most of the festival as I have for the past decade and expect to see her somewhere during that time.

I also just got a play selected in an annual night of theatre that messed up their advertising this year, so while I don't know that their turn-out is low (they only selected one of my two plays) they might be low. If she is selected, our plays will be shown every night on the same nights.

I burnt my hands trying to keep my pants warm and they don't even fit right in the front. Tried 'em in the back pockets and sat down too fast...oof. Now my ass looks like two hot cheese bricks blistered them and my farts smell like pepperoni.

I give up -- I want my money back. I'm returning these first thing tomorrow along with my sweet and sour mixer and sweet and sour sauce. It's been a week and nothing's been mixed even ONCE yet.
