Dr. Light built Rock as an assistant sometime around 2008-2009. After Wily began his attack Rock volunteered to become a fighting robot to stop him, thus MegaMan was born.

The main series games (NES and Gameboy together) take place over the course of about the next 4 years.

Dr. Wily's ongoing obsession in destroying Light's masterpiece led him to try and make his own. Starting with the dubbed MegaMan Killers, Enker, Punk, and Ballade. Later Sunstar, and finally Bass whom he assumed would do the job, but Bass had his own agenda.

After Duo crashed on Earth, Wily took the other crashed robot and used it's "Evil Energy" to power his robot masters. Meanwhile Wily was busy building King, and another secret project. Light became aware of this and started building an advanced robot he named X.

Wily supposedly used the evil energy to created his Roboenza virus which cause many robots to go crazy. It is theorized his most advanced variation of the virus was then infused into his creation named Zero, and his masterpiece was complete. From here it is unknown what occurred.

Light sealed X in a capsule with a warning. It would not be discovered for at least 100 years by scientist Dr. Cain.

In general what is stated above. Chill Penguin is the easiest of the Mavericks to defeat and you get the leg upgrade right away. For speedrunners this is essential.

For casual play I've been known to go to Flame Mammoth first a number of times. He's pretty easy to beat. Use the Fire Wave to get Penguin's heart tank next, and later backtrack for Mammoth's tanks and buster upgrade.

Yeah I know what you mean, but I agree this was the most pivotal time for it to happen on the show. Shane was out of control, ready to snap at any time, and Rick needed to take command of the group before Shane could cause any major damage. Unfortunately they lost the farm in the process.

Pretty much this. I've been enjoying the current season.

As for Shane (comic spoilers) - He was killed in the comic much earlier. By the show's equivalent, Season 1 Episode 5.

His death was among the biggest for Rick which later led to Rick basically becoming Shane, something Rick tried his best not to do.
