- Story structure. I'll blame this one on Nick for originally ordering only 1 season, but I preferred how TLA was structured. Each season the Avatar learns a new element, and each season is slowly progressing towards the return of the Comet and the battle with Ozai.

See I liked the gradual build towards that too. The whole series being one story.

Though I respect Korra for doing something different. It's kinda nice being like "oh this is really what the Avatar is like usually, fighting new threats popping up all the time"

- Character development. This probably goes together with story structure, but i felt more connected to the Avatar kids rather than the Korra gang. I felt very satisfied with the ending of Avatar with the whole crew just chilling in Ba Sing Se, i didnt get that same feeling with the Korra group.

I agree with this as well. I think it's because of how much time they spent apart, and with the various time jumps between seasons we don't get to actually see them all as a unit much

- Better villains. Ozai was just your typical cartoon villlain. The Korra villains actually have goals that go deeper than "i want to rule the world!!!" Zaheer was awesome, Amon and Kuvira were great, and Unalaq was pretty good.I liked Unalaq a lot more when it was revealed he was a Red Lotus member as his personality was pretty similar to Zaheer's..

I loved it a lot. If there is a criticism to be made, it's that we don't get too much insight into the other three Red Lotus members.

Zaheer is a GOAT Avatar villain though.

Shut the fuck up. Second half of second season was fantastic.

I liked the episodes with the first Avatar a lot

And I appreciated the more spiritual stuff getting fleshed, but the season had waaaaaaay too many issues with character and plotting (which in a normal show isn't too big a deal, but the rest of the series is fairly consistent with this), and the villain and his motivation were just... ehhhh, and just the vagueness of everything was a bit much.
