I've been taking L's since forever but for whatever reason this December through January was the season of "sorry, just got out of a relationship, not sure if I'm ready to date etc." and it bugs me.

Either they're impulsive and care for no one else's time but their own, or they're lying because they think it's less awkward than just being straight up and saying they're not into me.

But the reason Democrats are making deal of it isn't to get him out of office. For at least some of them it is real concern and disgust with the behavior, but the other is the long game. Independent voters are more likely to be on their side of the issue than on Trumps side. Pointing out republicans as the party of sexual assaulters and child predators isn't going to hurt them because republicans have spectacularly failed at standing against the issue.

That sounds like less of a long game and more of a natural consequence of the Republican party being okay with molesters.
