Out of that group (and ignoring EFB, who I already voted for), I'd say Walt and Jesse look like the most deserving. They just had such a big impact on their game, not to mention they're good characters anyway. On the other hand, I'd probably rather see Mega Alolan Exeggutor; it's such a silly idea for a character (even by the standards of the MS Paint game), but its gimmick actually ended up making it a decently creepy threat. (Then again, I just prefer silly characters in general.)

Wow, this is tough. There are so many good choices. I'll start with these:

Jesus Christ (I) - Probably the biggest character from the original game. His attempts to help everyone get along really added a lot of character to the story (which was really simple at first).

Thomas the Tank Engine (II) - I loved how he spent the entire game making friends with everyone. And how his theme music was somehow always playing and the characters in-story could hear it. And the completely ridiculous explanations for how a train was doing whatever the simulator said even though it was usually impossible. (Disclaimer: This was one of my noms, so I might be biased.)

Stelio Kontos (III) -

Deadpool (VIII - DC vs. Marvel)- Died really early, but his 4th wall breaking thing is fun and his control over the arena event was the best thing about that game. Plus he's had some great cameos in later stories.

Jaws (XVI - Horror) - Just consistently funny in all his scenes.

Evil Flying Brain (XX - MS Paint) - There have been plenty of big villains in B8HG, but the Evil Flying Brain was fun because he was just so hammy and arrogant. No real game-altering plans, no character depth, just flying around being super-evil to everyone and bragging about how great he is. (Disclaimer: Another one of my noms, so possible bias, etc.)

Wasn't that before the Supreme Court ruled the 2nd Amendment says individuals have the right to bear arms? The 2nd Amendment being as powerful as it is today is a relatively recent development, though that doesn't matter much now that pro-gun judges are going to have the majority on the Supreme Court for (at least) the next 30 years or so.

What's wrong with this? The Mario series has always had deep cinematic stories that are a perfect fit for a movie. And on top of that, Illumination has a great history of making perfectly okay kids movies like the first Despicable Me and (note to self: find another example). This seems like something everybody here should love!

So I watched In This Corner of the World tonight.

Well, for sure 90% of that was a really good movie. No matter what my overall opinion ends up being I'm glad I watched it at least for that 90%. But boy does that remaining 10% leave a fucking sour taste in my mouth.

Probably more after I've had time to sleep on this and mull it over. Or possibly less if I end up deciding I'm okay with this. Idk.

Ok after thinking about it, I'm somewhat more okay with this? I think the biggest issue is that more than anything, the writers were interested in making a war movie rather than anything else, and I just fundamentally don't think the way war is typically depicted in anime makes for a good story. I can at least see what they were going for with the parts that initially bothered me though, and it's not the worst idea in the world.

That's interesting, I've seen a lot more people complaining about the exact opposite thing (only liking the "war" parts and thinking everything else in the movie sucks).

Mew would still be worse at Amnesia because its Special is so much lower (298 vs 406 - Mewtwo with one boost is almost as strong as Mew with two). And I'm not sure why you think Mew would be a better choice against Tauros(or Persian); Mew's higher Defense (20 extra points) barely matters and losing the speed battle is huge. And this is all quite irrelevant when any glitch that gets Mew better moves can be used for Mewtwo as well.

Unrelated note, I was wrong about Mewtwo being the best Gen 2 Pokemon with glitches allowed. The best would probably be Lugia with something like Spider Web/Perish Song/Recover/Spore. It's definitely some kind of defensive Pokemon with the first three moves in that set; which mon and which super cheesy fourth move is hard to say.

You can't make Mew better than Mewtwo in Gen 1 by giving it new moves. Mew already has access to just about every move it could possibly need for anything. The only big omissions are Amnesia (which Mewtwo already has and does better) and some kind of sleep-inducing move (if Mew had Spore it might be the better option, but any glitch that allows for that also allows Mewtwo to learn Spore and he's better at it).

On the other hand, Mewtwo > Mew in Gen 2 is easy; you just need to glitch Swords Dance onto Mewtwo.

You could use Gen 2's Sketch glitch to get any move for Mew. Or (at least in theory) Mewtwo, for that matter.

But since most people have no idea what they're doing, it usually ends up being a complete nightmare to play. It's 95 years for anything before 1978 (assuming the copyright was renewed properly until they stopped requiring that). For anything after that, it's life+70 for anything created by a person. For anything created by a corporation, it's whichever is shorter of 95 years from creation or 120 years from publication. There are no cases where it's life+95.

For most people, being 6 again means 10 years or so of boredom before you can realistically change anything outside of your personal life. There's just no way for a kid to influence world events, and most of us wouldn't have significant money to invest as children. On the plus side, you would have a lot of time to learn new things and better yourself, but that's a lot of work and might not end up making you any richer than if you just took the money. Without a good plan and a lot of discipline, the money seems like the safer option.

The problem with Democrats abandoning social issues like abortion and gun control is that those issues have become the main thing the party is identified with. Without them they come off like just a less pro-business version of the GOP. Right now the Dems don't seem to have much of an overall plan for governing other than to oppose the far-right. That might be enough to win for now, but long-term they really need to come up with better ideas and/or messaging for economic issues.

If each game's warrior gets an autobid, there will be around 10 open spots. If all entrants tied for the highest kill count in each game get autobids, there will be around 0 open spots.

They don't worry about the whole getting overthrown thing because they're too arrogant to think it could ever happen to themselves; the rule was obviously meant for older inferior Sith Lords who weren't as awesome and didn't deserve to rule, not the current Sith Lord who is the best ever.
