Postdoc 1 - Albert Einstein doing metabolomics, ~55k/yr

Postdoc 2 - Harvard doing gut microbiome research, ~55k/yr

Postdoc 3 - Johns Hopkins doing cardiovascular research, ~55k/yr

Industry - Health economics outcomes research, ~145k/yr

I know postdoc is safer, but I can't see myself fighting for funding and writing manuscripts for the next 20 years

Nope. Crush I had in HS ended up in engineering and became even more attractive. Shes now married to a rich cardiologist and has two beautiful kids. Most of the people I disliked ended up being successful, attractive, and happy people.

Until expansions come out, people will hate it. So people will still hate Civ 6 for years to come till it gets enough expansions for people to stop complaining. Though most people will say, base Civ 6 is vastly better than base Civ 5, but Civ 5 with all the expansions is a much better game.


I was there for the Civ 4 --> Civ 5 transition and this is exactly how everyone felt about Civ 4 vs. Civ 5.

I realize

1) I don't deserve any sympathy and I'm not special. This will happen to pretty much everyone.

2) She's not inherently a bad person. She's just doing what she thinks will make her happy.
