I also never understood when people dismiss a game because it's also on Wii U. There's a reason a lot of Wii U games are coming to switch, no one had a Wii U. And no one is going to buy a dead system to play those games when the new system, which actually has a future, has those games plus more.

The main addicting part of the MH games is crafting armor sets from the monsters you kill and becoming more powerful to take on stronger monsters. If you find yourself getting one shot by something, that's a sign you need to go farm an armor set of your choice, and if that concept doesn't appeal to you, then I'm afraid to say the game isn't for you.

I'm at rank 80 something with 200 hours clocked and I'm still having fun. But then again I've crafted and used over half of the weapons and the accompanying armor sets to go along with them <_____<

I just can't get away from maining the GS. At this point, I feel like if I were to try another weapon, I'd create a totally new character to experience the struggle from the very beginning.

One of the best games ever imo.

But honestly if you don't like it now you probably won't like it later or in high rank or whatever. I mean you straight up say you don't like the setting and the aesthetic and all that. The charm is one of the big draws of the game, so if it doesn't do it for you, it's that much harder to get into.

Are you at level 29? It stops there until you do a special quest, then it unlocks again.

About 120 hours in or so, and I got the rainbow pigment!

It's not as cool as I hoped. :(

Rainbow pigment description: I was expecting all the colors being on it at the same time, like the color is a prism of all the colors. Instead, it just slowly changes from one color to the next. So if you were to take a picture of it, for instance, you'd only capture one random color. I was expecting like a rainbow flag or something.

Anyway, also fought my first tempered elder dragon. Took 35 minutes.

Yeah. The OT wasn't perfect, to be fair. Most people roll their eyes at the Ewoks for similar reasons. (Its hard to take a fight between imperial soldiers and teddy bears seriously. You need to have a certain taste for kitsch)

My problem with modern star wars is the severity of the switch. Like I said, VII was almost perfect in the opening.

VIII was way worse. The FO were strategically defeated by a crank call

Its frustrating in Marvel too, but its always been sort of like that so I can enjo a few for what they were. In Dr Stranges case (which the video mentions) I felt the times it did devote to pure drama were good enough to make up for it.

I actually enjoyed it in Thor Ragnorok because they basically went full blown comedy. When you just view the movie as a comedy it's pretty good.

Yeah I get what you're saying. So to contrast, the original trilogy would use humor in places between points of dramatic tension, while the new trilogy uses humor during these same points of dramatic tension, at the expense of the dramatic tension.
