Battlestar Galactica. Sort of.

There's an episode of Batman: TAS where an advanced AI creates a Batman robot who has the goal of hunting down, killing, and replacing him. The problem being that the robot is too much like Batman, so he struggles between his mission goal of killing Batman and Batman's personality preventing him from doing that.

The Ben Reilly/Kaine arc is one of the best arcs in the series. Ben and Kaine eventually both get their own series. And there's also the Gwen Stacey clone to consider.
