Then someone found a live journal (remember that?) That belonged to a girl who had recently committed suicide and her parents put up kind of this online memorial for her. You'd have to be a massive fucking piece of shit to troll something like that but that's exactly what some LUE posters (LUEsers) did. They basically organized as many people they could to troll it and CJayC received legal threats from the affected parties and tons of assholes were banned and LUE shut down to the public. The banned asshole degenerates decided to find a home at /b/ thus bringing their degeneracy to 4chan and turning it into the shithole it is today. But some shitholes were really extra. Too extra even for 4chan so those guys got kicked out and they formed 8chan. So in summary 8chan is made of people that other people who trolled a girl's parents over her suicide thought were too much of an asshole to socialize with. I don't think the chain of people really works that way. I'm sure most people on 4chan and especially 8chan have no connection to LUE. The exodus from LUE probably influenced 4chan at its start, but it was a small amount of people. Basically you have to have talent AND get lucky if you want to succeed in the video game industry (Unless you want to be an overworked codemonkey for a big name company). Betting you can live off of being a video game creator is a risky move like betting you can live on being a rockstar. Its still by far the worst Mass Effect though, and I would not recommend it to people who do not like the idea of exploring a new galaxy.
