| red13n 05/03/18 4:16:53 AM #9 | Played Episode Gladiolus. Apparently his little side mission was pretty pointless overall. But not as useless as Cor, who continues to be a waste of space in the game. Gameplay was fine, its a lot more fun when you remove all the extra dumb stuff Noct got as the game went along. Last boss for whatever reason has a harder first form than second, since it seemed he did nothing but spam unblockables against a character that needs to block to be able to do damage. In an age where good superhero movies are a dime a dozen it just felt so formulaic and lazy. You have Disney's own Marvel constantly reinventing the superhero movie formula and DC finding new ways to fail the superhero formula(With a single hit in-between). Then you have BH6, generic and uninspiring. All these areas seemingly have full maps you are just itching to explore but nope. | red13n 05/02/18 2:19:18 AM #1 | Actually I bought it for PC because it cost the same as potentially buying all the DLC on PS4. So I started completely over and redid everything. The game was...ok, I guess? I don't know, the combat both grew on me and became stale at the same time. The last boss gauntlet was a bunch of damage sponges. The fights were just...long. I wouldnt call them fun. Cerberus was fun and everything else was...not. The game also very obviously ran out of development time and was released incomplete. So many of the areas in the last part of the game just feel like they are desperately asking to be explored(They even taunt you by bringing the Regalia along even though you will see it once in an area you cant explore) and then...you cant. Because you cant. Hell all those recipes you learned on Ignis throughout the game? Ingredients stockpiled? Too bad because no more camps after a certain point. I'm left basically feeling like it could have been a very good game but am left with a very mediocre feeling. Was just kind of reading around the internet and agreed with something that basically said the Thor characters were left off with the most open-ended story of everyone here. Who is dead(Really dead) is a total question mark. So they left themselves the option of continuing those stories or having already written them off depending on contract issues or whatever.
