The Diablo loot system makes it fun and actually being able to get skills/moves changes things a lot more than Souls' just learning how to dodge/block and attack with the same moves at most opportune moments. Plus as mentioned, there's tons of fun in the various builds you can do. Hell, one of the gimmicky end game builds has you one shotting most enemies on the highest difficulty by throwing a fucking pebble at them lol --- |

Nier for the former, nioh for the latter The end game (well you can start early but the floors are locked until you beat difficulties) has a mode called Abyss. It's practically boss rush mode if you want but each floor has buffs/debuffs. You can clear 3 randomized small dungeons to get rid of these buffs/debuffs or just go straight for the boss. --- |

| Touch 06/15/18 9:47:57 AM #11 | If you like Diablo type loot, difficulty raising to raise your gear and replaying the game at those difficulties to progress, and Dark Souls/Onimusha/Ninja Gaiden type gameplay, then Nioh. If you like a more narrative/story driven, pretty fun combat that sort of incorporates bullet hell mechanics and you are a mad lover of ass, then Nier Automata. You can't go wrong either way tbh. Nioh gets hate because it's not Dark Souls enough for some people but I feel that's unfair. --- |
