Honestly I've never once felt like I was going to fall from the vehicle. Between seatbelt, grab handles, common sense, etc. It's never been an issue.

Obviously you're in more danger if someone t-bones you though

what do you do about not being able to keep any belongings in the vehicle safe/secure?

yea i agree that it should be talked about more. the problem is much like what i said, though. Its just something that happens a lot, so many people just accept it as a reality until its right in their face or affects them directly. With regard to Chicago there is definitely more to the problem there that gun control won't fix alone, but if we can't even BEGIN to have that sort of discussion in a case like this how can we ever get to the point where we can address the issues like that overall?

The discussions, at least at the state level here, involve penalizing me, a law abiding citizen for the actions of a small portion of the population, which are already criminals. That's not a discussion I respect or will give a chance to.

consider that the victims of the shootings have already paid the ultimate penalty for you to have the freedom to own firearms

every single freedom we are granted comes at a price. it just so happens that the price for the freedom to own guns means that sometimes guns will be used against innocent people.
