Just because there are some nonsensical blowhards who think everything was better when that's all there was..well that doesn't mean anything now does it? There were probably plenty of the same when VHS/game cartirdges went away, and thank god nobody listened to them either. I have two kids with friends, one who has actually broken a disc of some game I had long ago. Also I live in an apartment and robberies happen. I've moved many times before as well and discs have gotten damaged/lost over time. They also waste space and create clutter I'd rather not deal with. And when I want to choose which game to play or movie to watch I actually have to bother swapping the stupid discs out. They are inconvenient. They carry no benefit.
