And i mean that in the literal sense. I just toss and turn way too much. I dont think ive ever fallen asleep without turning around at least 3 or 4 times. It just gets too uncomfortable.

How would people even spoon without the big spoons arm falling asleep??

I discovered quickly I don't like sleeping with people, I get way too hot. Sexual relations are okey dokey, but get the hell away if I'm asleep.

Shared a bed with my brother a bit ago and even when drunk I still couldn't sleep. Mind you I also can't sleep much if at all in places that are not my own bed.

Sleep on your back with your arm under her head, her head on your chest, and her leg over yours. Perfectly comfortable for both of you.

You may find that, over time, you get more used to it, even if it's kind of awkward at first.

On the other hand, maybe you won't. I've known at least a few married couples who deliberately have two separate beds in their bedrooms for more or less that reason exactly (and I don't mean sexless couples who just don't want to deal with each other in general).

I sleep in a separate bed from my wife. She co-sleeps with the baby, I snore loudly if I've been drinking and she says I toss and turn so violently at night it's like I'm exercising.

Ive slept in my basement since last year February. I snore and moan in my sleep and my wife has fibromyalgia so if she gets crap sleep then her body just hurts all over. Its a win-win situation.

Memory foam mattress dawg.

I roll like a mother fucker. My wife will go to sleep in a position, and wake up in the exact same position. Me? Im a fucking blanket tornado.

How do we do it? A California King for one. Loooots of room. The memory foam was an excellent hand made platform for 2. No transfer of motion to her. When we had box springs, she had a lot of trouble sleeping with me for awhile.

Also, spooning and cuddling isnt really good for sleeping. Im sure some can do it, but between my RLS and other movements, and the fact my wife is a god damned furnace, we only snuggle for a bit. Then I scoot back to my side to pass out.

My SO also has RLS. He just gets up sometimes. But when he lays back down, I start cuddling him again immediately. I sleep much better with him than alone...

Have they tried tonic water? That's what my doctor told me to drink before bed. It usually takes care of the RLS. I can feel the difference almost immediately. I drink about 6 ounces of diet tonic water.

I think he does take something for it. But he also I think he massages his legs and exercises sometimes...

I always fall asleep holding my gf and wake up in the corner on my stomach with her on the opposite side of the bed. We both toss and turn a bit but having someone to hold in bed is worth it :)

I used to toss and turn a lot sleeping. it stopped both when I slept with someone else or I had a pet in the bed with me. though with the pet it wasn't immediate. I somehow managed to flip the whole bed in my sleep one night and the poor thing was clinging to the corner facing the ceiling for dear life.

Normally, my pets move a lot, which causes me to move a lot, as well. But the one time I slept without moving all night was with a pet. I was sleeping on the floor and it was really cold in the house. I had a blanket set out for him, but he just sat and stared at me. I said, "ok, fine." And he ran over and laid down right next to me. I out the blanket over both of us and told him he couldn't move until morning. And how actually didn't move the whole night. I was surprised. Haha.

Also, for spooning, there's a spot like under their neck where you arm should fit without having to suffer it falling asleep. And not uncomfortable. And you can always switch who's big spoon. I switch multiple times a night. Without even waking up, most of the time...

the pet I was talking about was a rat. when I was younger I kept rats as pets, and I had one that would sleep with me, I think my fear of rolling over and crushing him is what stopped me from tossing and turning so much. I rather enjoyed it too, being able to wake up and carefully slip out from under my covers and not have to make my bed because I barely disturbed it.

now I have dogs and once they fall asleep they don't budge, often times they are on the bed and asleep before me and I have to shove one over so I can have a spot.

Sleep on your back.

And that is what I can't do. I have to be on my side or my stomach, else I can't fall asleep.

As for sleeping with another person in the bed, I have a couple of night with problems, but after a bit I usually get pretty comfortable and have no issue. The real problem is that once I get comfortable, I snore like a chainsaw, keeping whoever I am in bed with up all night.

just realized I can sleep on my back. if its on the sofa. I guess the back of the sofa being against my side somehow helps.
