To set a bar, I do allow her to watch Rick and Morty. She gets most of the jokes and storylines. She sings that "Moon Man" song from the episode with the "Fart". Rick and Morty is probably the limit of what I will allow as far as violence/profanity.

Serious answer: We stopped rallying around the country as an ideal. The melting pot works when different cultures rally around a common set of ideals. The melting pot falls apart when different fundamentally disagree on the founding tenets of the country and actively try to overwrite those tenets with their own cultures'. It doesn't matter how sharp it is, because it doesn't have any weight behind it. Katana are really hard to use in general, against plate armor it would just break if they tried to hit them with it.

For America on the other hand, it is a net gain for the economy. They come in with no ssn, so they can't get any government aid that everyone thinks they somehow still get despite that, they take jobs below minimum wage, with "good" Americans essentially using them as slave labor on farms, literally getting raped by their bosses fairly often , and they can't do anything about it because if they talk up they can be deported, and they do in fact pay taxes on things they buy. The only "problem" they cause is upsetting racists who have it way better than they do.

That kinda reminds me of my Japanese class in community college, there were several cute shy girls that I liked, and could have liked me, but it was still too hard to talk to them. Well, at least in romantic i had a friend in the class with me, and when they were there we sat across from these 2 really cute nerdy shy cousins, and I thought they liked me, and we talked and stuff about anime a little and class stuff, and I wanted to ask them to hang out, but my friend already found a girl he was seeing in another class, and he didn't wanna be my wingman so to speak and it felt weird to try to ask them to hang out without my friend coming with.
