Just because some people withdraw just fine doesn't mean everyone does, and opiate withdrawal should ideally be accomplished within the proper facilities and care - although that's obviously another issue. Hes more saying anything that causes severe dehydration or electrolyte imbalances is lethal moreso than the depression, which I can get behind. I still assert that opiate withdrawal is nonlethal, at least from a technical standpoint (although it does not change management or the circumstances of the situation) --- |

My female colleagues tend to have more patients than me, simply by a request of "no male doctors" even though this is a residency program and patients should not be able to have this much preference. I am routinely talked over and fussed at whenever I speak up during our weekly didactic sessions/administrative meetings. Some of the nurses and unit clerks grope me and it feels a little uncomfortable. A lot of my female colleagues get very catty and start drama from time to time, excluding me and my male colleagues from cases and surgeries. I'm starting to become concerned. How should I deal with this? --- |
