Imagine if the Crimea situation took place now instead of when Obama was in office. The narrative would've been way different. It wouldve been something like, "blah blah trump is Putin's lap dog and is letting him take over Europe yada yada..."

I still fail to see how any of this has somehow helped Russia. I remember when Romney said Russia was our biggest geopolitical threat and the left laughed at him. But now the left are being told that they're supposed to hate Russia and like any good boy they do what they're told and take what's fed to them by God emperor CNN

Yeah, a dictator would absolutely hate it if regulations impacting his ability to exercise his power, or that force his wealthy allies to adhere to safety standards at the expense of some of their money were to be rolled back.
Why, that'd just be awful for the dictator!

He has deregulated environmental policies and banking regulations. Both of which are completely irrelevant in terms of his authoritarianism.

The individual mandate. Lowered the tax rate for the overall populace and lowered the corporate tax rate. Scaled back military operations around the world. Really what has he done that resembles dictatorship?

Scotland is part of Great Britain but that doesn't make it correct to call Scots Brits. Demonym is a thing.

Well done, you almost had it.

"Most white people born in Great Britain, although British citizens, do not regard themselves as British and prefer to state their national identity as English, Scottish or Welsh. ... People born in Scotland are called Scottish or British and can say that they live in Scotland, Britain and/or the UK."

Funny. Google seems to disagree

Yeah that's the thing too. The fine isn't all your paying. Your insurance can easily increase 20 or 30 a month for the next three years. So you're basically looking at in between 600 and 1000 dollars on top of your fine. Of course you cant blame the police for insurance companies but it is pretty fucked that even a minor traffic violation can basically cost you 1500 bucks in the long run

Breaking the law shows your insurance company that its more dangerous to insure you because you participate in dangerous driving. They have every right to increase your premiums

Its at least a great excuse for them to charge me nearly as much as my entire car payment. They're definitely making a fucking killing thats for sure. And its required by law so they definitely have you by the balls

they aren't forcing you to speed.

You obviously are completely oblivious to blatant revenue gathering. It does happen in a lot of places. The town I mentioned that got written up in the news had drastically varying speed limits that lasted for very short durations and signs that were strategically hidden behind shrubs and trees where most people wouldn't notice the drop. Coincidentally they posted up right after the hidden drop which lasted for (I shit you not) 1.2 miles.

But hey, I'm sure you'd be happy to smile and lick their balls for them. You should be driving 25 always no matter what right? 6 lanes highways totally call for surprise 35 mph spots at random with no rhyme or reason

I've been driving for years. I know how far away I was and it was several fucking feet. Sometimes if you go far enough into the void you'll loop back to the main world again in an alternate dimension with altered/nonexistent collision. Very cool, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl had that and it was one of my favorite things to do in that game. You had to walk for 8 hours to get to it.

Ya, it depends ENTIRELY on the game.

Some games will stop you when you reach a far enough distance - like if your position can no longer be represented by a 32bit integer.

Sonic 3 converts your position to a smaller bit, which means if you go beyond or behind the borders of the map the geometry starts to loop... this is known as the Loopback Area in Sonic 3 speedrunning circles.

Some games, particularly on the Gameboy, will just pull map data out of the next available RAM address and fill your screen with garbage (Mario Land 2 does this)

Ahhh ok it's starting to make sense to me now. I've just always been interested in stupid stuff like this because my knowledge of programming is shit

Think of it like this.
An Integer is a container where you store a value.
32bits shows how big value you can store. In this case, it can store a maximum number of 4,294,967,295. Or if you use a positive and negative value, from 2,147,483,648 to 2,147,483,647.
16bits can store a number of 65,535, or between 32,768 and 32,767 if we use a positive and negative value.
8bit can store a number of 255, or between -128 to 127 if we use a positive and negative value.

Yeah I kinda get what you're saying. It represents your position I guess and eventually you'll reach that maximum number and you'll just ride the edge of the container or pop out as a negative on the other side?

Think of it that only the used part of the map is using any memory. When you walk away from the map, it only calculates your position and how far away you are from the map.
