FF12's gameplay is great if you just completely ignore Gambits. If you do, it's basically the old ATB system except without random battles transitions.

FFVI and FFVIII are great because you can abuse and break the system to make the game hilariously easy.

FFXII is bad because you can abuse and break the system to make the game beat itself

the main difference between the two is that you have to press A/X more often for the former

I literally did 2 circuits around the whole of Liberl when I did it because I was OCD about not handing the ZFGs in until I did every side quest I could (and also I wanted to use Tita as long as possible because hnnng Tita)

MASSIVE waste of time aside from maybe one or two of the wanted monsters >_>

I didn't realize that you need to do the main quest in each region before you can do the bonus quest or something so I backtracked a ton
