It should be legal everywhere. This was paid for as a special event by a group which any group could do.and only for the members of the group. This is nothing wrong or liberal about.

Say they were not people of color but LARPers or an anime club or something and they paid for the off hours access for their group. No one would bat an eye.

Its more than just food stamps. Its an entire package. Youre paying for food, Medicaid (which means they pay $1 and a taxpayer covers the rest), and entertainment.

Weve got dying veterans on the streets and theyre giving an entertainment budget to lazy people who refuse to work. There are prime examples on this very board, but I wont go there.

I agree the system needs to be fixed but the conservative idea of "fixing" is to screw everyone over the lazy people and those who actually need help. The people who actually use their benefits to get back on their feet and try to be independent don't matter if it means some lazy bums are screwed over to. The right hates doing the hard work of looking at each case individually and would just group everyone together.

I'm fine with that. There are people who would sell their food stamps to spend that money on booze. I wish there was a way for good stamps to only be used by the people who receive them. But that's not possible. Really it is why I think Trump's food basket idea isn't terrible.

Really my problem is that attempts to limit these programs will screw over people who actually need them and not just the people abusing them.

Based on the content and maturity of their responses I'm going to have to say I believe her side of the story a lot more than his.

When she and Phelous left their complaints were ignored as just two angry ex employees. Now though her story feels a lot more authentic.
